@VooDoo

Are you so certain of that? The question might be old, but underestimated. Wouldn't it be better to show any profs that what you are saying is right, or simply wrong, instead of just jumping to conclusions?

Remember: Prejustice is ignorance..

Also remember that OpenOffice is actually Open Source!
Why shouldn't OpenOffice make an impact on the Amiga?
Most Open Source programs actually do, so why shouldn't OpenOffice?

Not to offend you, but you don't really sound much as a faithful Amiga-supporter being way too negative..

Importing Bookmarks into OWB/TimberWolf?
Not too shy to talk
Not too shy to talk

Just want to ask a question so that when i get the new AmigaOne X1000 running latest AmigaOS 4.x, and surfing the net, i would like to ask this question:

The case now is that i am still running Windows 7 on a PC using Google Chrome to surf on the net. I have many different important sites i use to surf on as "favorite" bookmarks, so here is the question:

Let just say that i got myself an AmigaOne X1000 now, that it's close to summer, and running for instance - AmigaOS 4.2 for it, and using browsers like OWB and TimberWolf.

Then i would like to import the bookmarks i used in Chrome on the PC over to OWB and TimberWolf, instead of trying to remember the sites and add them one-by-one, is it then possible to import such bookmarks from PC to Amiga-browsers like OWB and TimberWolf, if stored on a USB
pen for transfer over to the Amiga?

Hope this would be possible so that i can use all the sites i use in Chrome on Amiga-browsers in AmigaOS4, too.

OpenOffice to AmigaOS 4 - When?
Not too shy to talk
Not too shy to talk

There has been a lot of talk about porting OpenOffice to AmigaOS 4, so i wonder how far the progress has gone into working on the AmigaOS4 version of OpenOffice..

Now that AmigaOne X1000 is on it's way, and that many of the new features like Java, SMP-support, new graphic subsystem, better 3D-capabilities and much more are
to be worked on for future AmigaOS 4 products, then
it would be an idea to work on a Java-version of
OpenOffice for AmigaOS4..

Just would like to know when we can expect to see OpenOffice for AmigaOS4?

Amazing news, buddy!

Just image how lighting-smooth and fast it will be on the forthcoming AmigaOne X1000 with latest AmigaOS 4 using Dual-Core support, Xena, advanced audio and 3D-capabilities! Still, most impressive indeed!

Check YouTube with your OWB, and if you downloaded the alpha versions of TimberWolf, i am sure the "new" YouTube will give you a great surprise.

Excellent news, meaning that the HTML 5 is the new standard, which should be much better. It's cool to
see these new features in YouTube..

YouTube site more "Amiga-friendly" now!!!
Not too shy to talk
Not too shy to talk

During the last few days, YouTube has undergone a drastical improvement in overall use and got some additional support like a music library, better HD-support
and no longer any demand for flash-support!

This opens up for better possibilities for all Amiga browsers to display YouTube videos in any quality WITHOUT the need of flash support! Very much appreciated, making YouTube more "Amiga-friendly"! I am sure they know about the forthcoming 25th Amiga Celebrity for the summer, the
forthcoming new AmigaOne X1000 platform and that
AmigaOS 4 is still heavily under development!

So enjoy your videos and start making more, as they
will be fair easy now to display in any Amiga setup!!!

I want to give the people behind YouTube a GREAT thank!!!

Banana-party, anyone?

@All

I believe when the new graphic subsystem is ready to set a new standard in AmigaOS, especially when using the new AmigaOne X1000 platform, Amidock might as well undergo
a complete changeover in look and feel..

I'm sure Hyperion know what is necessary to do..

@All

Well, i can only guess that the next update will be yet another "Quickfix", and probably some kind of a Pre-AmigaOS 4.2 for the AmigaOne X1000...

I'm not sure how far the Java-development has gone before letting it become part of the AmigaOS..

Also remember that AmigaOne X1000 is to have 7.1 HD-audio. There might be a whole different audio system to use in later AmigaOS than AHI, and then there is to be a special support of the Xena co-processor, as well as the Dual-Core PPC-system in AmigaOne X1000...

I would also like to see a 3D-enviroment of Workbench, if that can be done, and if you would like such a look..

I believe you have mentioned the most, so i can hardly find more that AmigaOS should have at the moment, except of what i already mentioned.

@QuikSanz

Well, being programable co-processor is definitely a very good thing. It might be quite common on other platforms, but for the Amiga it's quite new, and who knows? The Amiga might as well be the best choice for such creativity..

@SIID

Well, probably not in the first place. It could take time, though, but at least make use of such advances for say, perhaps other games? At least in the term of the Amiga, this is quite new, when it's quite common on other platforms..
