Quote: Sometimes it doesn't close on my system. No errors, simply TuNetenet doesn't respond anymore. Probably when i run it and close in few seconds. I believe I've tracked this down after extensive testing with Memguard. For anyone that codes, or understands basic maths the problem was part of the line: sizeof(STRPTR) * modes+1 ...which should have been: sizeof(STRPTR) * (modes+1) Argh - that's taken me a couple of hours to find, when I was looking at it straight in the face all along! I hate that when it happens! I'll try and get the service release out tonight :) Cheers, Bean.

Wow! Now what did I have to do to get you to do an AmigaAmp/TuneNet blanker plugin again? (cos I'll do it!). Cheers, Bean.

@Lio Quote: I tried my router too and here it is a different pb : I can ping any site (IP and name), the route is displaying, I can adjust the time through pool.sntp.org BUT I cant surf the net with internet browsers ! It was the same under upd4 BTW ... My A1 is online but there is something that prevents me from browsing (and I am using the default settings) Hi, If you can ping addresses by IP or Name it shows that the basic network side of things is at least working (Name resolution and ICMP packets etc..). Here are my suggestions of things to try: Can you do things like: c:traceroute www.google.com..and get valid result? Have you a firewall anywhere, perhaps the firewall is set only to allow connections from certain MAC addresses? Check the configuration just to be sure. Could it be that you require proxy information to be added to the browsers? If you have a PC that is also connected and working check the proxy settings in your Internet Explorer and replicate them on IBrowse etc.. Cheers, Bean.

Hi, I've just spent a good hour hacking blind and have now managed to fix the Docky issues with TuneNet under OS4 final. It was an odd experience, I went from a locked docky if I minimised the AmiDock to one where everytime I minimised / maximised the docky I'd get an extra couple of docky displayed! Anyway, by hook or by crook it's been solved and I'll make a general service release available shortly. If you have any other specific TuneNet OS4 final issues then please let me know as soon as you can. Please NoteI'm just interested at the moment in any features that appear broken under OS4 final and that used to work under update 4. Looking forward to the updated SDK!! Cheers, Bean.

Hi,
I'm desperately in need the debug app "Sashimi" that works under OS4 final. The earlier version (1.9) no longer works, and produces an "Out of Memory" error. Can anyone help?
Cheers, Bean.

Quote: So where do you download the free update? I am a registered 2.3 user, but all I can see in the IOSpirit's site are the the updates for 1.x users and the full product... Go to the downloads section and download the demo package. If you have a keyfile it'll still work, though if you are using OS4 make sure you read my post in the news item. Cheers, Bean.

@Severin, Quote: Tunenet DSI's if mpega.library is not installed, can you change the docs so that it's 'required' not 'recommended'?
No! It is a bug with an encoder routine that caused this problem in this version, not a problem with the docs. Normally the mpega.library is not required as mentioned in another thread somewhere. I have since fixed this issue and will release it as soon as possible. I'm sorry for the problems caused, but I had it installed when testing and so did the Beta testers so this didn't show up The previous V0.79 release (still available on the TuneNet homepage www.tunenet.co.uk) doesn't need the library, nor does the upcoming V0.84r2. Cheers, Bean.

Hi FuZion, Only just read this as I had my own scare also! I'm glad these good guys here helped you out! My PSU died yesterday, but not so much that it was totally dead just sending pulses of electricity to the main board. Causing the internal speaker to go mad and the machine to not start. Ordered a new PSU and fitted today - thank goodness the board didn't get fried or anything. I'm back up and running as well now! Phew, I need a backup machine.. (fingers crossed for some good hardware/OS4 news in the next few months). Cheers, Bean.

@haymigga, Quote: If i use my mixer to turn down the Master Level down while playing a song, if i then pause using the daemon command pause and unpause, then the song will continue at a much higher volume setting. How come? No idea! - As TuneNet doesn't touch the Audio hardware directly I'd say this is down to a mixer issue. Perhaps the mixer settings aren't being loaded correctly on boot? Each time TuneNet stops / restarts it uses the same AHI volume settings. @Walkero The volume boost is a digital boost (with clipping included). Its main use is to boost tracks from plugins that play at low volumes. It will clip (crackle) if the waveform is already using the full scope of the 16Bit sound. In future releases I may hide the boost part somewhat, like Song Player does. Cheers, Bean.

@ChrisY Quote: I can't reproduce it very consistently, but if you double-click on an item in the playlist to play it, and then click on a different item while it is being pre-loaded, TuneNet tends to update the wrong row, or put the wrong info in the row, or play the wrong song.
Hi Chris, I've known about this one for while, it isn't anything to do with the listbrowser gadget, but some sloppy programming on my part! Yes, I hacked something in and it got left! Due to time constraints it meant it was never fixed up before release. It's on the list. Cheers, Bean.

Ok, by now you will know that the latest release (V0.84_64) was launched a few days ago. Although the release was fairly smooth, I have noted the following problems from here and other sites: 1/ MP3 tune information sometimes gets messed up. -> This is caused by Unicode MP3 tags which are not handled by TuneNet. I have just added some basic conversion support for unicode characters and will include this in the upcoming service release. 2/ If the MPEGA library was not found by the MP3 plugin then a reaper would appear. -> Fixed for next service release. 3/ Auto Loading and Saving of playlists annoyed some people! -> This has now become a preference item. 4/ A crash could occur if you tried to delete an item from an empty playlist. -> I'm still unable to recreate this one, but I'm looking into it. If you have any other bugs to report then please post here. Please try to keep this thread free of feature requests! Thanks, Bean.

@Chip, Quote: In this case it's not surprising about using the uninitialized pointer. Good luck with the fix! Thing is I must have broken this between versions. I reckon I'll be able to fix it in minutes, in fact I have a good idea what caused it. Service release coming up. Ah well
