@abalaban

From a technical point of view devices are libraries.

It must be possible to create #?.d.main stubs with idltool, or we could never call a 68k-device from nativ code.

Really? I can hardly remember a single Window without a Zoom gadget. Zoom gadgets are enable by default in MUI, I cant even find a switch to turn them off.

@pvanni
Zoom gadgets not iconify gadgets...

What's wrong with the normal Intuition way of doing this?

Quote:

from Documentation/Intuition/NewControls:

Qualifier for window zooming
============================

Any [Shift] - makes the zoom gadget act as a maximizer gadget, expanding the
window to the full screen size minus the titlebar.
If the window is already maximized, it is brought back to the
previous position and size.

@Spirantho

mboehmer (the man behind E3B) is currently looking for informations about DMA under OS4 for his Deneb project.

It seems that he has some problems to contact the OS4 Team / Hyperion.

In the mean time TetiSoft and tboeckel have joined his thread at amiganews.de and I think he have got some infos from them.

I have posted some links to your old DMA/AmiTV threads.

I really hope that Rogue or tfrieden is already in touch with him.

@VooDoo

What driver does Poseidon use for it?

Check T:USB.log if your Camera is recognised as a "Floppy". If so replace the July version of DEVS:USB/fd/massstorage.usbfd with the one from Final.

Have a look at the sfs-changelog...
Quote:

1.254 (4.3.2006)
- The limits mentioned in the 1.245 notes were wrong, sorry. The actual
partition size limit of SFS 1.x is 128 GB, no matter which blocksize
you are using. Changed the checks to the actual limits. You can
continue to use too large partitions, but you may get "disk full"
errors (instead of a trashed partition) even if there is still free
space on the partition.

This was the first I heard of MTP... but reading about it.. it seams that it not that far from PTP, so I don't think its that hard to do... but I really need a device that uses it first, I'm saying that without having looked at the specs but I read MS had applied for usb approval so I don't think this will be any problem.

Sounds good
Have a look if it is possible or not, and when you want to start, tell us and we will see how to get a suited device in your hands.

Quote:

It may even improve my PTP driver for MTP claimed to be command compatibe so I hope to get better documentation than the ptp specs had.

Next release of OS4, will most likely have a full blown PTP driver with Thumb Image selecting.

Cool.
Is it possible to add MTP (Media Transfer Protocol) support to it?
It seems to be a custom extension to PTP.

You can find the specs for mtp under External links.

@Raziel

The informations in the non-PNG icon is wrong.

Maybe it is the best idea to use the converted icon i have send to you instead of the two png ones. That way nobody has to worry about it.

Both icons types are 32bit RGB+A, you cant see a differnce, OS4 icons will show up on all systems correct -> there is no reason to use the png-format.

Oh, and have a look at the default tool of WBStart_Torrent too.

Hi.

Is it possible for you to replace the PNG-Icons used by ProcessTorrent with OS4-Icons?

The WBstartup-stuff does not work if somebody has not the png.iconmodule installed.

When TN locks up the next time, try dumpdebugbuffer ram:tn.log in a shell. There could be something usefull in it.

* XPK support

No, a API for plugins that gets all Files opened by TN BEFORE it is examined to check if it is a musicfile.

That way we could do plugins for XPK, XAD, XFD, rar, p7zip, and all other (future) formats...

If a archive contains more than one file, TN should see it as a "drawer" and check all files in it.

EDIT:

Oh, different playlists for musicfiles and radiostreams.

Will be added, thanks.

The other AOpen in the list is mine.
I dont need it at the moment so i could send it to you for some tests if you like.
