I am with Mikey_C on this one: I am not prepared to travel miles just to end up in a big pub do. Each time i go to an amiga event i get dissapointed and depressed everytime just to see how small the amiga commuinty has got it is majorly depressing! And to add insult to enjury the last event at big bash 4 my computer got beer spelt all over it so the answer is no.

And yes I am still very bitter over that! I know who did it too!

FROM AMIGAWORLD.NET:

Hackers hacked into our server and used our server for filesharing 30GB of warez, they found an anon ftp account on aw.net and somehow got past our firewall rules that should have blocked their ftp access. Unfortunately these warez were undetected for some time.

This 30GB of warez was getting backed up by our backup script every time it did a full backup (remote and local), this caused massive backup files that used up all the harddrive space on the server causing the downtime.

Unfortunately because our server ran out of harddisk space it has caused some data loss in the website's database. We'll try our best to recover the missing data.

We have reported their IP addresses to BSA and their ISPs.

Please report any unusual anomalies on the website.

I know alot of people dislike the use of vista. I on the other hand actually enjoy it, call me a vista fan boy if you like but really Im not. Yes vista has it`s niggles hear and there but lets not just forget how long it took xp to get where it is now and its only just at what I call resonably stable. I use linux / macs / also, both can have teathing problems just look at fedora core for linux, allways needing updates becuase its bleeding edge. Going back to vista, yes it does have a registery - but no where near as unstable as xp is.

My system is:

Intel Core duo E670x2 64Bit
4Gig ddr
half terrabyte hd
Dual Boot OS: Windows Vista Ultimate 64bit / Fedora core 8 / Mandriva2008
Nvidia 8600 GTS 256 meg

Vista explorer? I think you mean Internet Explorer and it does work fine in that too. I run Vista Ultimate 64bit here.

Try using Firefox.

Dont worry I have been able to log onto the net at work and read the odd occasional news. Tbh, I dont care much about the platform anymore amiga.inc is just bollocks, hyperion are acting like school kids (OoO oh look our shiny new toy you cant have it mwahahahaa its all ours , ours we tell you!!) we have hardware which is bloody pointless and to expensive. Need I say anymore?

Im back...!:) Finaly got my broadband line sorted out cant beleave its been nearly two months since ive been here i think. I hate not having the internet
