Re: 1.16 is Available with Support for Downloading and Uploading

@Paul

Hah! I didn't even notice that limitation (I almost always download things to RAM first).

That download request when the submit button is hit is annoying (though the post does still go through).

Downloading seems to work very well. (If you are using OWB on its own screen, you will have to switch to the Workbench screen to see the download progress window.)

Thanks Andrea and Joerg!

Chris has uploaded a new Commander to OS4 Depot, and now everything works as it should with BubbleBlanker---though if you downloaded the one from yesterday, you should probably replace it with the new one (I added an ARexx port on Chris' suggestion).

Hope you all enjoy it!

@Bj?rn or anyone else who can take care of this

Can you please remove BubbleBlanker from OS4Depot. I uploaded it prematurely (before I had actually tested it with Alex C.'s Commander screenblanker module). I have used his module in the past to execute commands (start programs) at the time of blanking, and have had no problems. But with BubbleBlanker it doesn't work since the screen goes black first and the bubbles are floating on a black screen (instead of floating over the Workbench screen).

Anyway, I'll PM Alex and see if he can get a new version of Commander out that will work well with BubbleBlanker. But in the mean time, BubbleBlanker is useless as a blanker; so I'd prefer if it could be removed from OS4 Depot for the present time.

Thanks,

___ Paul ___

@Raziel

That should be enough. I've noticed that if I get below 200 MB and try to open OWB on its own screen that it consistently crashes. Is there a way that you could try starting it with over 300 MB (maybe eliminating some things from WBStartUp), just to see if this makes a difference? You also might try not starting it on its own screen (if that is how you have it set up currently).

How much free RAM do you have when you try to start OWB?

@Paul

I have been using 1.10 quite a bit now, and have never gotten this recoverable alert that some of you have gotten.

I've got a ?A1; and that might be significant. Does anyone else who has a ?A1 get this error?

Hey guys. If you have OWB installed, and if you run AmiUpdate, you will find that OWB 1.9 is now available.

This version is simply fantastic. (I'm posting this message using it.) If you've been disappointed with previous versions, you have got to give this one a try.

On a related topic, I'd like to show my appreciation to the guys who are working on OWB by donating some money to them. Does anyone know who is doing most of the work? (I know that both Andrea and Joerg are working on this project together, but I'm not sure if one or the other is dedicating more time to it.)

Edit: 1.10 is now available. Get it while its hot!

If you hold down the right mouse button over the minimize docky you should find the delay options "Short," "Middle," and "Long."

@bamiga2002

"WindowMenu" from the OS4 "Contrib" drawer does what you want (edit: if I understand what you are trying to do), plus more. (It is very configurable.)

I like those black ones a lot (they look similar to the case that I have my ?A1 in).

Have you tried reinstalling TN? (I'm guessing that returning TN to its original settings would fix this problem.)

@klesterjr

Thanks! I really like the transfer animation that you painted for IBrowse, as well as the Buttons for AWeb.

I almost missed this thread because the title did not indicate that it had anything to do with your artwork. (It might be good to change it to something like "New Files from Ken")
