Now that alfkil has made a patch for Napalm it might be an idea for Amigakit to try and get a distribution deal worked out. They could give a cut of the profit to alfkil as a little reward the work he put in.

Napalm should in theory work with OS4 because it's system friendly and uses RTG. alfkil patched bugs that stopped this from working on OS4.

Settlers would require a complete rewrite of the game.

Software such as Bubble Heroes and Genetic Species can probably be fixed.

Years ago I was able to load Bubble Heroes but couldn't start it because it didn't seem to recognise any input. Hopefully a fix is quite trivial.

Viva Amiga. Why haven't you pledged yet.

There are only 20 days left to reach the $25,000 target.

If you haven't done so already please consider pledging your support.

The footage shown so far looks really promising and they already have interviews with some on the main players in the Amiga's history with more already signed up.

For $35 just you will get The DVD + Extras disc and a pin badge. That sounds like decent value to me and it's not like we guys are overwhelmed with new Amiga products to spend out money on.

Remember Amiga was worldwide so the film makers need to pay for flights and accommodation in order get these important interviews on film. Any money past the $25,000 will result in more content and higher production quality so don't feel it has to stop there.

Setting up a Kickstarter account and corresponding Amazon account (for payment) is simple enough and you wont be charged if the project doesn't get the go ahead.

Don't sit on your hands hoping that others will do it so you don't have to. Help make the definitive Amiga documentary a reality by pledging your support today.

Re: Removing A1G3SE CPU Fan

I think it uses spring loaded push pins to secure the fan. Pushing them in will release pretty easily if I remember correctly.

Search for northbridge coolers when looking for a replacement. Get something a bit before with a separate fan rather then the integrated type you have, that way if the fan fails you don't have to replace the whole thing.

I assume it's a lot less hassle with an SE since you don't have to remove the CPU module if your cooler bolts to the board.

I think it's SD RAM like in the AmigaONE but rated at 200Mhz.

It is the memory timings. Memory timings explained.

I guess none of us quite know the main reason for Hyperion to take action against this..

In the settlement between Hyperion and Amiga Inc there is a clause that effectively forbids Amiga Inc from using or granting the Amiga name for use for computers that have an OS similar to AmigaOS4. HyperionMP expressed that he felt that a Commodore USA Amiga would be in breach of this clause and he would consult with his legal counsel. As far as we know, no action has been taken and it is not definite that any will.

It is up to Hyperions's lawyer to investigate whether or not any action should be taken.

@ssolie

This Mitsumi PS2 keyboard has C64 keys in it but Amiga keys will also fit.

I have an AT version of the same design, which I used to have connected to my A1200. I will probably convert it to PS2 and use it with my A1 at some point.

A google search indicates that the model number is KPQ-E99ZC-13*, as long as it has 2 grooves along the top it should be OK. When I got my A1 I got one of the later versions with a single groove and found they'd changed the design of the keys.

Another option is an A1200 keyboard with a Keyrah interface. Personally I'm not that happy to type on the bulky A1200 console though, I prefer a normal slim keyboard.

*Just checked my own keyboard and the model number is the same.
