I'm looking at the provided Panda photo (big one with the imposed logos), and I have a few questions. Why would anyone put two PCI slots on the same motherboard backwards from each other? Assuming that the Mini-PCI slots are those things one of which the panda is sitting in (I've never actually seen one before), removing those would open up a lot of real estate?maybe enough to add another memory slot. In today's world, on-motherboard capability of only a half gig of RAM is not exactly high end. I do also realize that AOS 4 probably has no need for more than that, users will, though. Trust me on this one. Just yesterday, I was editing audio on my OSX Mac?which has 832 megabytes of RAM?and I got an out of memory warning. They probably need to lose some of the "rainbow connection" in the lower right. I know we need line and mic, but what in the world would F, C, and S be (from the GuruMeditation page on the subject)? In any case (sorry), it looks like there's a lot of repositioning that needs to happen in order to fit a standard case.

3cag is in the low 4 millions. I remember when I suddenly started getting over a thousand hits a day last March. There was nothing in the top URLs listing but search engines and bots (all going for the previous incarnation of blogsey, which no longer existed), so I did what I could to stem the tide of useless traffic. I even went to the extreme of setting my robots.txt file to "no bots". Once I did that, it was like someone pulled the Internet cord out of my virtual server. I left it that way for a month, then renamed the robots file to something else. The robots have been slowly coming back, but they rarely if ever try to get to the non-existant PHP-based blog, and I've been getting visits from people that want to see the photos, want to hear the Chats, etc. I also convinced my webhost to do something that has REALLY helped in keeping track of things. They now record a separate log file for each day. Not only does that drastically cut down the dross I need to slog through in checking for problems, it also helps me to gauge whether I've had an increase or decrease in traffic on a particular day, just by seeing the file size. Just got notice of an update to Firefox2 (to 2.0.0.1) so I checked the ranking of the Update info page (mid 17 thousands).

Would it be possible to have a small, separate, floating window that would only contain a few buttons, say, "home", "news", "forum", "inbox", "rules"? That way, those few buttons would always be available without cluttering up the main window.

Not being certain how long it takes to achieve this, I thought that I would mention that, according to the Netcraft toolbar for Firefox 2, Amigans does not yet have a ranking (I'm not sure if we want to have one here or not). The top ranking site is Google, of course (followed closely by Yahoo); The top ranking tech site is Microsoft (followed by Symantec); The top ranking news site is BBC (followed closely by Foxnews). For my own part, my site is ranked in the low 2 millions, and blogsey (which just got a ranking apparently), is ranked in the low 5 millions?all of which just goes to show that some sites only get visited when they get updated (how else would I rank ahead of them? ).

Yeah, the tree stump came in handy, too, didn't it? It looks like buildings to me.
EDIT: I just realized that I got the reference wrong in the photo. It should be John 1:5, not John 1:9.
EDIT2: Fixed the reference. Reload the page to update your caches.

I just got this one today. It has been deliberately gamma-corrected quite dark for effect.

During the last several months I have taken the habit of wearing my camera on my belt while I'm at work. Part of my job includes work on the shipping dock. That is where I was when I got the two photos in this thread. In November, I was "driven" to take my afternoon break outside. While I was out there I was looking around for photos. One of the finest I've found in a long time became ?Evergreen Candle?, which can be viewed as part of the ?Christmas Card? in this thread. The other photo in the card was taken while I was on injury leave in 2005. I managed to cross some railroad tracks and get right down on the banks of the Mississippi River just by the southern-most portions of the St. Louis area in St. Louis County, Missouri, USA. While there I noticed a refridgerator-sized boulder laying on the bank of the river. I climbed up on that boulder, and began taking pictures of the sunrise on that April day. The whole time, I was looking over my shoulder, waiting for the Cops to come and get me (for crossing the tracks?they had been roped off with metal cords), but they never did. After taking the pictures, I safely got back across the tracks, to my van, and the photos to my computer.

Awesome, Outcast! You've got a good eye, a good hand, and apparently a good camera, too.

?Angel Rays?, as Outcast describes it, is one of my favorite weather phenomena, and if I can happen to have my camera ready to photograph it, it's like, ?Oh Man! That's beautiful!? even if it's subtle, like in this case.
In the second photo, if you look closely, you can see that there was a faint halo around the sun, and at one point, that halo intersects with a cloud, to wondrous effect. I'm not certain, but I think that it's known as a sun-dog. It's a fairly rare phenomenon, as it requires the presence of unseen high clouds, their ice crystals acting like a prism, and lower clouds through which, at certain points, I guess the sunlight passes with some amplification, because it's not only coming directly from the sun, but also by way of the prismatic effect in the high clouds. So when the light from the halo intersects a lower cloud that is also being illuminated by the sun that piece of cloud will naturally be brighter than the cloud around it. But, in any case, it's a wonder-inspiring effect.

...honoring the user who was responsible for my site achieving its 5th gigabyte of transfer. I got the IP address from my log files and started researching the IP to try and mention on my blog who it was and what they were downloading when the milestone occurred, thinking it would be something silly like a little piece of the page they were loading. The interesting thing is that I got stonewalled. Everything comes up unknown. I even tried a traceroute, which got caught in one particular IP address that just kept hitting itself instead of going further, and I couldn't get anywhere near the target IP address. All I do know is that it's part of a block owned by Verisign. Oh well. They were listening to God-honoring stuff, so maybe God will glorify Himself in it, whatever it involves. Has anyone else run into this kind of thing before? Should I start looking for black helicopters?

What I'm curious about is what the actual billboard in the photo says (under what you put in). I tried to read it earlier, but couldn't put all the letters in.

Try what I do when I have written a long post: I select-all and copy it to the clipboard. That way, if something persnickety happens on the way to submitting, I still have what I wrote, and I can just paste it into a sparkling new form in less than a second.
