@all Finally ! Got my beloved thread back ! Here are the news: FeaturesPlus you will find an extensive Workshop inside upcoming Amiga Future Magazine. The Workshop shows how to create a html Gallery with "subtitled" images and an additional printed image list. Hints and tips for using new "Workflow-" and "addcomment-plugin" are included. Said this, iBatch Version 1.2 is ready, and will be published soon. Development ideas for Versions beyond 1.2 (1.3 and up) will focus on more plugins: 1) "Add Slideshow Plugin" Professionell looking slideshows for AOS4, AOS 3.x, Windows, Aros and maybe Macintosh. Slideshowmodules will be Hollywood based, the plugin GUI will be Stormwizard based of course. Some slideshow modules can use different backgrounds, different frames for your images and maybe buttons. All those are "skinnable". If you are interested in designing background wallpapers, buttons or frames, feel free to contact me (ibatch add web point de). This is already work in progress ! 2) "plugin boxes" A bunch of plugins/GUIs which will utilize third party CLI tools like "image2icon",... 3) sorting images enables user to determine order of images in slideshow/html gallery greetings Gero

Progress Report....
iBatch 1.1 + Addhtml do work, I tested them a lot. Before release I have to fix a few "GUI glitches", which is probably a matter of a hour.
mailed Martin "Mason" Merz about some toolbaricons...
spanish catalog for iBatch 1.1 + Addhtml is done, I still have to correct bubble helps though, text gets cut off in spanish version.. (Thanks Javier)
italian catalog was sent to me yesterday, still have to check that one. I will release italian catalog as soon as possible for version 1.0 (!) . Italian catalog for V 1.1 is also translated, still have to check... (Thanks a lot Gianluca).
Readme + pdf files, are done expect Addhtml Doku. Said that, I might upload pdf files for V.1.1 prior to release...
greetings Gero

@djrikki This wikipage is an excellent idea, it looks very promising espicially with all those screenshots, damn good work... this might become a defacto standard page ! Anyway, the problem I have is, that I am not realy into all those topics, I just use them, but I think if I put a documentation online it will miss a lot. E.g.: The Date and Time Preferences: Before filling that one in, I/we have to check on this strange behaviour when dual booting in Linux, which makes my AOS clock go totally wrong, there is also an issue with "servertime", when switching to daylight saving,... I know there are threads around, and I might find the time to find a solution... Concluding: beeing an expert on just a little topic takes time. I guess I probably donnot understand any prefs in detail... Some more questions: 1) If I start e.g. a basic article on PageStream, does that help ? I will probably miss a lot of features I donnot know of, as I just use the ones I need. 2) Could I also write an article about my iBatch soft (third party soft section) www.geobiz.de/ibatch.html ? greetings gerograph

Ok, I have a first running version of iBatch 1.1 incl. Addhtml-Plugin running:
Cool - after processing, iBatch autocreates a thumbnaildir incl. previews for your "outdir". This thumbnailsubdir will then be used for your thumbnails on html page. All other needed html files will also be added to outdir. So, here we go:
More news on "addhtml-plugin"
Work on that plugin is nearly finished, planned/implemented features are:
- choose thumbnailframe position and size (left, right, top, bottom - thanks @Kicko for the idea) - choose backgroundcolor for displayed image -> If you click on "choose Layout", you will be able to select a combination of color and framepostion directly. A preview will also be shown
- option to add back/next button to image - slideshowmode incl. configurable display/delaytime - I am also investigating the option to make websites passwordprotected, as not everybody should be able to see your private pics.
However, if you donnot want to redefine options all the time, or donnot care about the options, you will be able to use "onc click" website creation. iBatch 1.1 will provide at least one new "conversion profile", if this conversion profile gets selected pics will be processed and a addhtml-plugin GUI will pop up. Just click OK - done ! Addhtml-Plugin will retrieve the options from your "conversion profile" automatically.

Some future features I am looking at:
- Exif support: - using jpeg header embedded thumbnails - using exif info for renaming - Preprocess Plugins: - add e.g. watermarks/copyright infos into the image during processing - convert to greyscale - other image effects - Printer support
For now 1.st priority is finishing Addhtml-Plugin, I'll keep you informed about features of Addhtml-Plugin. Releasedate of iBatch 1.1 should be around Dec/Jan 2010/11

Some more news on Plugins
iBatch will have an "after process plugin" capability... this means you can execute a plugin automatically after your images have been processed via one of the "conversion profiles". E.g. after resizing images and saving them in outdir, you could automatically generate html files in order to make images displayable in internet browsers. This is actually how the addhtml-plugin is implemented.
Addhtml-Plugin is therefore just a standalone executable which acts on outdir. Further plugins could be:
- start thumbnailviewer afterwards in order to display outdir - create a lha archive of outdir and sent it via mail... - printer plugin: Print Images of outdir in different formats (like in Windows ?) Anybody wants to take this challenge ? -....
details for Plugin developers will be puplished later
watch this space...

@Daniel thanks for the infos... what library is missing ? Visit iBatch website, you can find links to downloadlocations of the desired libraries (download section). You should not need other libraries than the ones listed. If iBatch still asks for another please state your OS Version, RTG System and missing library here. So that I can help or at least adjust the "Requirement" section on iBatch... (e.g. I actually never tested on a real AOS3.1 expect UAE).
Sure, it would be nice to reduce the amount of additional libraries to be used, but due to choosen programming architecture it is impossible, unless I rewrite from scratch.

@ChrisH I see.... found Quote: already, this is something I need... correct ! But isn't it a bit unrealistic to just drag pic by pic into another drawer, anyway ? So I think beeing able to copy selected pics into another drawer is vital anyway. This would be enough for iBatch to work with PicturAlbum. Even better would be to be able to define three (ARexx) Buttons which will copy selected pics into an Dir Assign given in the ARexx Script) - and I give you that, this is probably tricky as well, cause how can we pass all selected image filenames to ARexx... ? But anyway great work, could become one of my favourite thumbnailviewer. greetings gerograph

Just did a quick try on Version 4.0 31.8.2010....
Looks great, seems to be exactly what I need.. perfect, thankyou. When selecting export/via fig2dev, I get a message
Workbench: Unknown command
Is this, because fig2dev is not implemented yet ? (But I think it was written somewhere, that it already is... ??). However I'll give some more reports later
