Re: OWB 3.5

@joerg

I tried the version on the OS4.1 CD with the verizon site and it also has the looping-reload problem.

@orgin

3.5 is Excellent! It has tabs, the CONTEXTMENURMB tooltype, and it even seems faster.

It's still looping endlessly on www.verizon.com, but I wouldn't be surprised if its due to an error in (or non-compliant) javascript coding.

@Slayer

I use ViNCEd Version 3.73. It's not native OS4, but it seems to work fine, and has command line history, scrolling buffer, tab completion, etc.

@samo79 & Joerg:

This site puts OWB in an endless loop: http://www22.verizon.com/ (It has since version 2.0.) The page is usable if I stop the loading at the right point, then I can navigate into the site and it no longer loops.

@joerg:

You already know that this works, Quote:
... enter the full URL with username and password, something like http://username:password@192.168.1.1/ , which works already.
But for everyone else: Yes, it works with Linksys routers

I've checked what's required for that, but it seems it would need additional code in at least 4 different parts of OWB to support it

Bummer, that sounds complicated

Thanks for the tip, I'm on the road now, but will try that Sunday evening when I return.

Thanks again for bringing OWB to OS4, you rock!

OWB 2.8 is great and Joerg rules!

It almost fills all in the holes in IBrowse: CSS rendering and it opens my company's sharepoint site. All it needs (for me) is to handle my Linksys router's login and I won't need a WinXX computer!
