Those are good! I think part two would be great running as an unattended loop at the show, give you a chance to wander around yourself.
Hope to be there too. Richard

I'd like to say how pleased I am, that since 3.22, when using OWB to access my networked HP all-in-one printer's webserver, scans are now saved as pdf's.
This adds a lot to OS4.1's functionality as my everyday machine. Richard

Yes you are probably right, trouble is, I was'nt smiling when I wrote that post . Apologies to coder for dragging this off topic, though his problems appear to have been solved with your suggestions. As to the motherboard, (bought Nov. 02) mine also has the green wires, I believe there was an earlier "developer" version. Initially it was frustrating, Linux (Suse 7.3) kept crashing, did'nt know at the time that it was PIO modes causing data corruption. USB was also a problem causing system freezes and the Kingston ram (as supplied) was failing memory tests (more of that later). An OS4.0 developer (I forget who) independently investigated the data corruption and suggested that DMA0 was "safe", and it has proven to be so for several years now. Throughout the various OS4.0 updates USB was still safest when disabled. With friendly advice from those who are now known as Acube, the memory was replaced with a stick of ram from Crucial, but with the latest version of OS4.1 that original Kingston ram is back in there, alongside the Crucial (total 1Gb) and not causing trouble. The USB problems were resolved earlier this year when Hypex (and friends), discovered that a non "VIA" USB pci card worked under OS4.1, (I had previously tried an "NEC" card under OS4.0 without success, that same card works under OS4.1). So... here we are at the end of 2009, it's been a long journey, I could be described (by some) as a "retard fanboy" . Back in 2002 I wanted to support the move to PPC, looked at my available free cash and assessing the risk, took the plunge! Yes! it's been more expensive than I thought and there were dissapointments along the way, but when has life been any different, regards Richard.

@xenic Hi, my apologies to you, I was trying to deal with my irritation at the negative quotes below by using humour, obviously it did not translate well. As I had said I have a fully functional G3SE, so... whilst it's true that there were problems, it's taken a while, but one by one they've been dealt with. Quote: From Elwood: @ChrisH Quote: "Maybe OS4.1 update 1 will fix your USB issues?" "Maybe. But the SE is known to have many flaws..."
From LiveForIt: @ChrisH Quote: "ChrisH wrote: @Dirk-B Maybe OS4.1 update 1 will fix your USB issues?" Unlikely AmigaONE-SE has lots of hardware problems, most not solvable. Adding PCI card or buying a Sam440 is maybe the best solution her.
From Antique: @ChrisH The usb on the SE is broken,no sw can fix that. Hope this explains things, regards Richard.

@thread Can someone please help me, I seem to be doing something wrong, I have a fully functional, stable SE, with working usb, nothing "commented out". What modifications do you suggest I make in order to fit in with all the negative remarks being made?

OK, sorry if I'm about to waste everybodys time, but something I've noticed whilst using the latest MPlayer to play an "mms" stream.
I just happened to have snoopy open and after closing MPlayer, this was left running, endlessly repeating...
00188 : pthread id 1 : o.k. = [exec] OpenDevice("timer.device",0,0x6A6884C0,0x00000000) = 0 [56uS]
It was'nt snoopy's window playing catch-up, because the "lines queued" count kept increasing, eventually after an hour or so the machine would come to a halt. I only mention this at it is "pthread" related Richard.

What version of OWB are you using?

@agafaster
Hi, maybe your router gives priority to setting up wifi connections, hence the delay, until a wifi connects or a timeout occurs. How does your Amiga get it's "address", DHCP or static ? whichever it is try the other way, can you get to the routers webserver to look for possible priority settings. Regards Richard.

Talking of OWB 2.8, I just connected to the webserver of my "all-in-one" and was able to receive scans which open in another window, then save them with SGrab, (mark&grab).
This is a definitive milestone for Amiga browsers, and once again, many thanks for your efforts. Richard.

Hi, I've donated to Salass00 but Fredrik's paypal button shows "anders[at]mundanus.net" is this genuine or has his paypal button been hijacked?

@joerg
Hi, I am pleased to find that Doduo displays the scan page from the webserver of my HP 2575 all-in-one. The preview button delivers an accurate mini pic, the scan button, throws a DSI, clicking ignore does'nt cause lockups and although the scan continues nothing arrives.
The cancel and reset buttons on the page allow it to back out of the situation, and it continues normally with other websites.
So.. tantalisingly close! Thanks for all the efforts being put into this.
Regards Richard
P.S. This was the relevant ouput from the shell I launched it from, at the point of clicking the scan button.
postProgressFinishedNotification ASSERTION FAILED: isfinite(window.y()) (/CS/OWB_Doduo/WebCore/page/DOMWindow.cpp:119 static void WebCore::DOMWindow::adjustWindowRect(const WebCore::FloatRect&, WebCore::FloatRect&, const WebCore::FloatRect&)) CONSOLE MESSAGE: line 1253: Undefined value postProgressFinishedNotification
