Ok. So, I disabled Compositing and now system will boot, however when I'm trying to turn on Compositing computer with freeze 😭.

EDIT: I disabled Synchronization with vertical refresh. NOW IT WORKS!

And there is power management and my R7 240 is passively cooled NICE.

EDIT: Not so nice. Candi doesn't work (freeze) and CroMagRally the same, freeze.

Yes, all looks great and it's were it should be.

Rx us working, Sata cable was loose, and I did not see Uboot 🙄... so now I can boot again, just still don't know what is the issue.

Sounds like a dead end for Sam460 performance.

Also, I installed v5.14 driver and now my 7750 and r7 240 will not work. I'm getting and error saying: object not found. System is frozen.

I used installer and driver is installed.

Good that my Rx is working, so I can still fix it. Can someone please help me here 😔.

EDIT: After cold boot, Rx will not show screen at all. Time to do fresh install...

I think it a glitch in AMIStore. When I run Updater it shows there is a 5.14 driver for Sam460 available as an update.

Is lack GART support for Sam460 (whatever that is) limitation of Sam460 or its just not easy to implement for it comparing x1000/5000?

In other words will it ever work for Sam460 for RadeonHD/RX?

It looks like power managment works fine, fan on my RX 550 slowed downed and now I have almost completly quite computer :).

I'm considering to get Radeon HD v5 driver, but I can't add it to the cart at AmiStore (I found it by searching for it, but when I add it, and try to check out it is not in my "bag" anymore). Strange.

If I can get my R7 240 (or 250) work (v5?) and there will be power managment for it I think right now it will be best choice, since I can have Uboot and possibly I can try to make Linux/MorphOS work on my Sam.

Is there a way to get V5 for Sam460? AmiStore only have versions for X1000 and X5000.

Another quick update. I got RadeonRX 550 and it works well and power management works - I mean I HOPE it works, I can select options, but I'm still getting error about "configuration being wrong or something similar to that) :).

I still can't get my R7 240/250 work under AmigaOS, but there is a chance it will work with new driver (is there any way to test it before purchase?).

I'm thinking to try Linux so for that it would be nice to have R7 work under AmigaOS, so I will not need to swap graphic card constantly :).

Beside that it is quite nice AmigaOS machine :). Now, it is time to install software, configure it, etc.

Thank you! It works now. Looks like installer from Enchancer did not add this line to kicklayout file, driver was copied there already.

So, RX 550 works great, all my Radeon HD works fine with exeption of three R7 240 and 250 will not.

So, I got MSI Radeon RX 550 and it will not work with my Sam460. Black screen. System boots fine if I swap to my 7750.

Is there anything I need to change in a Uboot/AmigaOS before swapping GPUs?

I'm little surprised that various software/driver developers don't have a donate "button" next on thier websites.

I was wondering if Os4Depot could add "donate" button next to download. I'm using e.g. driver for Sound Blaster or it become to complicated due to various issue due to donors wanting e.g. refunds), sure it free but even if I wanted I have no way support it. Or take e.g. ignition development.

Your work (I hope!) is supported by sale of Enhancer /v5 driver, but what about supporting RadeonRx development? Is it going to be sold separately as RadeonHD driver?

BTW. Radeon 5450 is like $15, it's basically price of the cable, sure i need to swap graphics cards, but with a cable I need a whole laptop 😋.

I have the solution! Just make a graphic card for AmigaOS from scratch and charge for drivers development when you sell this graphic card. Genius idea! 😁

I don't mind not seeing Uboot, there us not much to do after it's working. I actually would not mind to have an option not to see it at all, I guess Rx 550 should fix that 😁.

Its like on a PC, new bios basically allows to skip all this "essential" technical data. I'm so happy I don't need to wait for memory test to be done before boot!

Hopefully there will be more development of drivers for RadeonRx. Why would not everyone use this instead of Radeon HD? Linux? Morphos compatibility?

I purchased rx550 yesterday, so I'm keeping that one. I will let you know how it will work when I will get it. I think I gave up on Linux/MorphOS on Sam so RX 550 will do.

I just want to have a power management, 55W TDP is not bad, but doing literally nothing and using that much electricity is little to much.

BTW. rx 550 is such a overkill for Sam460 🙄.

I tried. I burned CD, I made SFF/00 boot partition, copied the ub2lb as boot loader, I clicked Install Ubuntu Mate 16.04 - Sam460". It will start booting from a CD but after a while it will reset and start again.
