@nubechecorre

The writing is definitely in a different class, so I'm thinking it's new :)

It's really quite lovely although I'm sort of stuck at the very beginning with only my shield.

Actually the cookie fix seems to have broken something else. I didn't have problems logging into Gmail with all the other OWB versions, but with this one it says cookies are disabled and that I have to enable them.

It's also not possible to log into Yahoo! Mail.

@TCD

One thing is for sure. It's a lovely little board. I have one and I love it. It's fast (in Amiga terms - response times and such), silent and a great size. It's my always-on computer that I go to to read mail, browse, IRC and a bit of movie playback. It's also just a nice change after being forced to use obnoxious systems at work.

Sure, AmigaOS isn't perfect (no OS is) nor is it quite up there in terms of features, but it's really enjoyable and I guess this is the most important thing : I actually look forward to coming home and using my computer. Just like when I got my first Amigas (and C64s for that matter).

I used to have a micro and that was nice (but unstable), but Sam feels much more responsive in everyday use.

A modern game is written in C/C++ and the code usually is well structured and with portability in mind so after get a licence and access to the source is relatively easy to port it.Another story is if you want to make a moder game from scratch.

If we're talking modern game, we're talking things like Unreal Engine 3 and so on. Things our hardware cannot even handle. That means you'll either have to remove effects entirely or wait for our graphics cards to catch up.

Even so if a game was written for e.g. DirectX it's not exactly trivial to port it, unless you've done other ports already and have tools to help you.

We have to be realistic here.

The guys that can do it should start porting NOW!.

Want to be realistic?

Even the most hardcore of coders can't port a modern game in a matter of weeks. It's months at best and 99% of modern games won't even be able to run on the hardware that we have.

We're always working on something.

Leveling up?

Level 216 Arch Programmer TFrieden casts "debug" on code.

Code gets hit for 4 HP.
Code casts "crash" on TFrieden. Spell fails.
Code gets hit for 3 HP.
Code gets hit for 5 HP.

Code is debugged.

You are eaten by a grue.

I just found out that TuneNet actually crashes with a DSI exception if mpega.library isn't present. Nearly did my head in figuring out what was wrong when it worked when booting from one install but not on another.

@Bean

It would be *very* much appreciated if TuneNet could get support for last.fm submissions. (www.last.fm)

Amigans.net radio would be nice - if it has Amiga related music.
If I wanted generic pop I'd tune into one of the thousands of usual intaweb radios.
