@sailor

Peg2 can boot directly from iso allso via of prompt. Is that possible in X1000 ?

Never tested it myself.

Can you boot AmigaOS from usb stick. Making sfs partition to stick or pushing iso to usb with rawdisk?

Bootable usb would be one nice emergency option :)

User error.

Correct way is something...

Clean OS4.1FE + update 1,2, same time gfx, audio, network settings etc.

Updates via Amiupdate.

Enhanger 2.2 and then rest.

Extras.

PartitionWizard still not functioning. Probably next update.

Just installed it yesterday over fresh OS4.1F upd2. System is Peg2/G4/1gb/Radeon 9250

Copy command is much more reliable than before in long large copys. It is allso faaaaast. Great and remarkable improvement.

No time to test it thoroughly yet, but it seems that copy really works correctly (finally).

Someone asked Trevor, why publish cli-remakes. Answer was, that someone in team like to do them. I think that he/she would like it even more :)

Finally working AmiDVD.

New exchanger is nice.

Notifications/Ringhio even better.

My Limpidclock is finally retired.

Happy as punch.

Generally very happy with my purchase.

Of course not tested everything yet, there is quite bit of new things.

Some quirks or features.

For some reason(s) Multiviewer doesnt start properly on my system. Its tc_State is suspended in Scout Task&Process list. Doesnt open. Not downloadable at all from Updater atm. Some config problem or similar? Didnt pick "replace multiview" in setup.

Partition Wizard doesnt start at all. AmigaDos: The process terminated without replying to the workbench startig message, this program is probably for CLI use only.

Dont need Partition Wizard atm, so no biggie. Should be nice, if it works when needed. Still, I have at least enough backups...

InfoWB doesnt allow disk renaming via name stringbox. Drawers and files can be renamed as with RAWBInfo.

If I change icon via InfoWB, Transparent part of icon will turn visible black. Should be annoying for some, when building fresh system from zero, all these gazillions icons from os4depot... :)

Sometimes picking information from menus takes quite time, before infowindow appears.

Any Ideas about problems?

Thanks :)

Re: OS4.1 native find-tool

@msteed, nbache

Probably guide is some steps old?

There is some general mishappening in tooltypes.

If I remove first uncheck line from tooltypes, wichs happens to be boota, where amigaboot.of resides, it markas all devices. boota is hidden partition from gui-prefs.

If I remove third line tooltype uncheck RAM, it leaves boota, Data partitions, it leaves boota and Data unchecked, but check RAM, Storage, Data, Work, Workbench. Checking everything after removed line.

CHECK_DEVICE tooltype not avail, so some inconsistency in tooltypes.

Great little tool anyway.

Tool itself is great, simple, clear and fast.

But no tooltypes, nor any other settings, as far as I can find.

Hi,

Everytime, when I open native Find application, it offers to search that path, where it is opened and all mounted disks.

Is is possible to set search only, where it is opened ? Bit frustrating allways exludwe all and click upper most.

Or better alternative apps ?

Thanks :)

@kas1e

In here fastfix3 is stablest version.

I get problems in low-memory conditions. Pretty normal I think, since swap is off. Problems start, when I have 5 megs of mem free.

Otherwise no problems atm. Not really extensive testing, but seems ok.

I test more today at evening, but Im away at weekend.

It showed itself fast.

Clean, newly installed fastfix2, fails

Odyssey_curl7_28_1 over that clean fastfix2, works.

Re: fastfix for 1.23

@kas1e

Bit hard :)

I had network stalls with 1.23 version from os4depot, fastfix1 and fastfix2.

I dont have stalls with that:

As you write:

There is just a binary of odyssey build with curl7.28.1.
http://www.sendspace.com/file/56klqp

To test it normally, plz, just install fastfix2 to fresh directory (and that include everything, bookmarks, passwords, doesn't matter what : all should be just fresh without your old files from any previous installs, to exclude any possible and impossible problems) , and then, just overwrite binary by that new binary. Reboot must too. Preferable to not have anything in background which may cause problems too

And I made just that, reinstalled fastfix2 and copied over odyssey build with curl7.28.1.

And that last one works.

More info about pull down copypaste menuitem problem.

I get something, carriage return. No text.

Not high in list anyway. Can live without atm.
