So is Amigans IRC Dead?

Have finally found space for my MicroA1 in the house, switched it on, testing stuff, but no IRC.

Connection times out then Gethostbyname failures

Have tried all servers and even ip addresses with either 5555 or 6667 no luck.

Thank you for your efforts. I had honestly given up on Amiga & OS4.x - It's heartening to hear that maybe, just maybe Libre office will come out and that there is a new updated Browser at long last. Thanks to Kas1e.

Who knows, I may be tempted to dust down the old girl from the cupboard and fire her up if things do actually materialise from Trevor

But did anyone managed to get any graphics card to work on a MicroA1?

I managed to get an SSD to work on my MicroA1, though if I recall correctly I had to considerably drop the speed in order for it to work.

A PCI graphics card into my MicroA1 - It is but a dream. To be honest, I even tried to put a USB-2 Card into it, but that didn't work. - You are stuck at the snails pace of USB1 standard. Ugh!

Overall, the MicroA1 is the Amiga equivalent of a Fiat Multipla

That's the thing. Get a new Amiga and then do what exactly with it? It will still have the same lack of decent Office app and web browser.

I really want to get back, but I can't justify it.

When we get a decent office application and a decent web browser that actually works with all websites I will buy a new Next gen Amiga OS4.x computer

Until then, I'll save the pennies.

Yeah. I wish I could say I am back in the fold. But the truth is that the lack of new stuff on OS4.x has killed my enthusiasm.

The stupid court cases/battles between the remaining companies just makes me sigh and go play Two point Hospital on Windows.

I put aside enough money to get an A1222 but to me it isn't worth it.
