Re: Timberwolf and μΑ1 with OS4.1.2 problem

@portarinos

FFS2 is slow, SFS is fast, thats all it is.

If you leave it long enough timberwolf will start, and it only takes that long on the first go. Using SFS it would take max 5 minutes iirc.

@MickJT

The linux screenshots on the acube website show the sam460 using a pci-e 1 sata to 2 sata port board. hopefully acube will have an aos driver and uboot support for that.

its was also running at 1.6GHz at one point, and that isnt going to be the final speed either.

it runs at 1.8Ghz. you've seen the a-eon website yes?

wishing it was 2GHz, or 10GHz doesnt make it true.

@ChrisH

It should be noted, that anyone wanting to post bugs here *please* also produce a step by step guide to reproduce it, and preferable on a default OS4.1 update 2 install. The more details you can give the better it is, dont worry about taking up space on the forum.

Other OS4 devs can then confirm if it is a bug, and add it to the 'list'.

@unimon

dont be silly, I can order sdram and even edo ram if i want, and recieve it in a few days.

for sata i doubt the hard drives people have can reach sata-1 speed, let alone sata-3, unless they have a really nice SSD or RAID

@Troels

440ep vs. 460ex MHz for Mhz, you wont notice any difference apart from where the 64Kb cache comes into play.

the plus points are the PCIe slots, 2gig ram max, and speeds just past 1 GHz.

also, time to dig out that sata pci card you have in your amigaone so you can add cd/dvd drive as well as extra hd's.

this is great news but we need to see a web page with a pre-order button to be happy

that will just mean people will call it a preorder scam.

you cant win.

giving an email address to register interest so a-eon can email everyone when its available is a good option though

there is no AmigaOS hardware that has USB3, and hardly anything that uses USB3 to the full. Why would you want drivers for that instead of USB2? i just dont understand...

Do anyone know how well that disc is compared to other ssd discs? The ones i have looked at,seems to be faster at around 128 and 256gig sizes. But also much more expensive.
