libpng is easy to build so if for some reason a specific version is needed one of us can easily build it. I am not at my computer until next week though.

AmigaAMP Pausing Podcasts

Can anyone else reproduce this:

- Use MediaVault (or whatever) to load up a podcast using AmigaAMP.
- Let the podcast run for a short while
- Press the pause button

Result:
I see that the podcast does not pause.

This also happens for live radio, which I can understand more if buffering is not implemented

I should see about 3.9MB/s. As I said, one file at a time I seem to get about half of that. Multiple, simultaneous files - added altogether - result in about 3.9MB/s.

This is also the case on AmiTube, too. ~~ half the maximum speed.

No. I tested this out using my Linux machine and found that was transferring at the speed I expected.

Download Speed from Internet

I notice that when I download something from the internet using Ody or IBrowse that the speed seems to peak out at about half of my maximum speed.

If I download multiple things at the same time from the internet then the combined speeds add up to what is about my maximum rate.

Transfers on my local network seem to be normal.

I have no idea about this other than I think that it is the "PC Engine". I think mednafen emulates this, so you could try using that.

EDIT: May also be worth trying to get the serial debug output if you can if you really want to use that emulator.

PDF Viewer Dark Mode

I am currently using AmiPDF 1.42. I do not believe there is a "Dark Mode". Anyway to add this to the next version, or can someone provide me an alternate so that I am not burning my retinas?

Okay, this could be because I am playing these over SMB.

I will try to copy the file first, then play it from the machine locally.

Perhaps this is an issue with SMB. It would make more sense because it is odd that both DvPlayer and Emotion show an error. Yet, large files of a different codec play okay over SMB.

Limit on video size for DvPlayer / Emotion? (SOLVED: SMB limitation)

I have two files. One is 1988199650 in size and the other is 2795443445 in size.

Both are:


"ISO Media"

when running (from my AmigaOne X5000)


file <theFile>

It seems that if a file is greater than INT_MAX then Emotion will display a message saying:


Not supported media format

DvPlayer will display a message saying:


File is not recognised as a supported movie format

Suggesting that the error is due to INT_MAX is just a guess. All I know is that the files are the same "type" but one is larger than the other. The smaller one works and the larger one throws the error message above. These files are "mp4".

I have no such INT_MAX limitation with a .mkv file. That is to say that running a file that is .mkv > 4GB works.
