Good work.

As i already said on an other site, we do not only
need an internet-pack but also a security-pack.

That security-pack could be divided into different
versions to the needs of the customers. Like for
example a user-version for normal internet-security
and a professional one for more extended needs.

Please add this link to the left table:

http://os4.hyperion-entertainment.biz

It is the Amiga OS 4.0 site from Hyperion.

Thanks.

Ok, i see your point, but like you say these are bundles and
you can not say that from an Amiga OS alone.

I am sure that if there would be an Internet-bundlle with
the new hardware that that would be a big step forward.
If you would look at it from a desktop perspective ofcourse.

But i see more benefit in special bundles like for example
OS4 + hardware as a basic system where you could add
extra services with inhouse or external software addons.

Hmm, about OS 3.9 and 4.0, that depends on the hardware you are using.

I have an A1260/G2 with OS 3.9 and that runs fast enouph.
My A1SEG3 runs OS 4.0 even faster so that is very good for me.
My old A500 did run OS 2.1 and that was the fastest and best OS for it.
MY old A2000 did run OS 1.3 and that was also a fast machien.

If we are talking abouth OS 4.0 then that can only get better as
my SE runs at 600 mhz and is not the newest hardware anymore.

So if we take the SAM440 at 667 mhz with a very modern board then
that must be a verry fast experience, i think.

Ok, sorry when i was a bit too harsh.

But i will give you an example of what i mean.

There are people who are buying every year a new computer
like some people do it with buying a new car every few years.
Then you have people who dig out their old computers or
startup an emulator because they love the simple way it all
worked. I gues you can compare these people with people who
refurbishe their old classic car.

So what i want to say is that you can not generalise your thoughts
that it must always be the newest and fastes computer that you
must have to do the right thing. It depends from person to person.

You make one big mistake here, you compare it all to the present time!

All the AmigaOS-versions where great seen in the time-frame they where in.

I can also say something negative;

all the OS's that you see today will be bad in 10 years time, see?!

@Sauron

Well, you could always try to find a usergroup.

If you want help for your 'classic' you will not find
many here as this site is just to startup. Maybe you
could try amiga.org for the moment.

But stay on this site also, it will be better when more
people are getting in. And, pssst, dont tell anybody
about this site, it is still a secret. Ok?!
