Re: AmigaOS4 support

Not too shy to talk

Randomly when I have an AmigaGuide running in Multiview when I try to open a new one using the Project/Open menu in the Titlebar it will lock up the entire system. I'm running OS4_up4 on an unfixed 800Mhz A1-XE.

Thanks.

I will be moving from a 200-300 employees company to I believe an over 3000 employees company (worldwide)... That's going to be so great ! And they want to make sure I will be there at their Christmas Party !

Moving from a Software Company to a major UK Law firm (maybe the largest ?)... Doing the same kind of job, just at a "lot higher level"...

You're asking for it !

KinCon (sp?)...
I run it from the docky... Run SH to compile some code with gcc. Then type exit to quit SH, and then "endcli"... It closes fine, but give me a GR 99% of the time !
I believe it does the same even if I don't run SH...

I'm running AOS4_Upd4 on my A1XE-G4.

(I'm not in front of it at the moment...)

I know Swisso (Raoul - excuse spelling) was looking at Freescale replacement CPUs, even got some samples from them I thought?

You might want to try seeing if he managed to get anywhere with his idea?

Sure. I am currently trying to get some quotes from surpluss resellers. Maybe he can share experience. You say he got them from Freescale? When? Where?

Is it his nickname here?

Big thanks,

This is a great idea

I think we should put this as a side feature if you are willing to run it.

either via a seperate heading on the left or via its own forum.

Well done!

Do you have problems with AmigaOS4?
Do you think you found a bug?

Please describe your problem step by step(!) here, tell your configuration, and don't forget to post crashlog (if needed)!

We will check in our Beta system and tell you if it's still valid or already fixed or how to do a workaround.

A FAQ and an Articles sections would be nice.
It would be good to summarize all questions which are repeated often, and the users doesn't have to dig the whole forum/site.

Looking for free/cheap A1200 HDD

I don't suppose anyone has a spare working 2.5" drive less than 4GB they want to part with have they and are based in the UK - I'll pay towards shipping and if its worth anything I'll make an offer?

I'm trying to get Evil's Doom SE '98 working on my A1200 still and am planning on building an OS3.0 install only on a new disk - I still think, even with an OS3.0 partition on my HDD currently inside the A1200, that it is referencing some of the 3.9 stuff.

Gotta get this game working.

Rude!

P.S. Apologies, I couldn't see a "wanted" or "classifieds" section anywhere.

... I'm going for a fag !

:oops wrong forum !

More seriously, I shall be posting less for the coming weeks (Yeah, Rudei, you can add a few Dancing Banana(tm) !)...
Indeed I just resigned from my current job and I should be able to start my new job in about two weeks (if I manage to reduce my notice period...))...
So the last two weeks in my current role are going to be sooooooooo busy.

I won't be "totally" gone, and shall be back before you really notice it... And I might still post/read once in a while just not to disapoint Rudei too much...

No Jerry

You can slag off double glazing as much as you like.
This is a website aimed at computers, not PVC.

There are other websites for that kind of thing

I've always been a strong believer in the "that OS that shall not be named" Bounty System.

It gives users a chance to donate, and developers something to work towards! Plus, the more the bounty, the more those said developers know how much interest there is in a particular area and have confidence to develop a program that can be upgraded as time goes on, maybe with updates for a small fee! Sort of like an ongoing income.

That's my opinion anyway, whether liked or not

In fact you will need to use StegaOut to extract the files... So even if you hide a virus in an image, you still need to extract it using StegaOut...
