Nice ideas...

Also maybe an area with a few Source Codes (or links to Source Codes) which would "required" porting to AOS4.

Free Source Code for example or also "negociated" source code (a bit like I negociated with some Developer to allow me to port their Code to AOS4...)

Also a "For Sale & Wanted Skills Board"... Where a dev could for example ask for a designer, or a designer offer his/her services to developers ?...
OK, the "For Sale" is not the exact word... Maybe something like "To Let" or maybe just "Available / Wanted Skills board"?

// Sometimes I'm thinking that it could be nice if the Amiga Community "get back" Amiga Stuff... Meaning, negociating with remains/successors/owner/whatever of Amiga Development (like Games and Apps) which are not being looked after, and "buy it back" to allow the Community to build a Repository of Amiga Develpment, and also allow developer to port those old Apps, Games to AOS4 native...
Let's imagine contacting Delphine and "buy back" the game FlashBack for example so a developer could port it and update it on AOS4 ? Even if it's then to resell it...

// OK, I might need more sleep !...

Would be interesting if Orgin and the OS4Depot-crew changed
something lately, it worked a few weeks before...

I wonder if anyone here is interested in running Freeciv off this server?

I know its been a while, but maybe, just maybe if there is enough interest and we can track down DaveP again, we could have sessions running here.

What does anyone think?

Windows is a virus!

Err...may i correct you there?

Is Windows a Virus?

No, Windows is not a virus. Here's what viruses do:

o They replicate quickly - okay, Windows does that.

o Viruses use up valuable system resources, slowing down the system as they do so - okay, Windows does that.

o Viruses will, from time to time, trash your hard disk - okay, Windows does that too.

o Viruses are usually carried, unknown to the user, along with valuable programs and systems. Sigh... Windows does that, too.

o Viruses will occasionally make the user suspect their system is too slow (see 2) and the user will buy new hardware. Yup, that's with Windows, too.

Until now it seems Windows is a virus but there are fundamental differences:Viruses are well supported by their authors, are running on most systems, their program code is fast, compact and efficient and they tend to become more sophisticated as they mature.

So Windows is not a virus.

It's a bug.

I do not won a SID, so there will be no SID support, might support joysticks, if I can get my hand on an old digital stick.

When I try to download a .lha file from OS4Depot with AWeb the filename in the ASL requester is always 'download.php'. Is this a problem with OS4Depot or do I need to correct a configuration in AWeb?

Thanks...

@AmiGame:

I'm using CLI from docky. I have kingcon too, and typing sh, and compiling a lot. Then I'm exiting and no problems. But I never had the same before.
Maybe you should add "stack 500000" to your shell-startup, just like I did. Does it helps?
