hmmm... White dog poo again...

ok, it does exist, feed any dog on bones and they lay white eggs...

The meat on the bones is totally digested all that's left is the calcium...

White dog poo in urban areas is very rare as people feed their dogs on dog food now, not bones and scraps as they did years ago.

White dog poo maybe rare, but dog poo is not

Hello Amigans this is my first post

About the browser situation, IMHO isn't too terrible now, i think that we have a good chance to see some progress in the near time.

IBrowse for example is quite finish, only 13 bugs before the officiale release (off course if all goes well)

AWeb is incomplete and the development is too slow, this is true, but the 3.5.09 is coming ...

But 100% we does't forget the Sputnik project, Marcik it is not contrary at all to an AmigaOS 4.0 porting and i'm sure that once he have finished the MorphOS version will be able to release also for AmigaOS (maybe via bounty or what else, now we don't know)

Also Paihia could become a real dream in 2007 as Mozilla too, if we can have a decent GTK/MUI wrapper in the near time ...

So feel positive guys, the loooong waiting is quite finish

Bye

P.S.
Congratulation to the mantainers, this new forum is very nice

Hi,

i use Aweb most the time ... ;)
Only on sites with "not so old" javascript [mainly my main torrent
sites] i use IBrowse .. and yes .. IB is faster on my 060/66
system .. but i have only the Demo [dont buy an non-css browser more,
haved buyed AWeb3.x].

The main problems for Amiga is not the non available Firefox
or not OpenOffice ......

FireFox is big and have potential problems with viruses/trojaner...
OpenOffice is big too and nearly no one need the whole pakage full ..

We need a fast and small browser [IB4 or a good Aweb WITH actual
javascript/css support] for modern web sites ..

And a compatibily with M$ word !
Maybe a library that allow loading/writing from actual M$ Word
formats .. THIS is needed .

And as interim solution a smal prg that convertes with the help
from the word.lib the word documants to/from FinalWriter/WordWorth ..
So the actual amiga text-apps can used and new apps benefits from
the word.lib was is holded up-to-date ...

maybe ... only a hint ;)

Wow!
It takes a '60 as well.

I think you got a bargain there.

I often hanker after the upgradability of big box Amigas - there is nothing much I can do with my A500 or A600.

I am being talked into buying an A2000 by a guy called Retrogeek I came across on Ebay - I am wavering but he makes his points well and I am now 85% convinced.

The A2000 sure is the most undervalued machine in the Amiga family. The build quality is fantastic. They were over engineered and Commodore lost money making them. By contrast all the other models (even my beloved A500) were starved of resources and were shodily built.

Hi again!

Thank you all for your answer's and tips.

I tested my powersupply with my A600 and it worked fine.

Great!

It's fantastic that another Amiga has been wrestled from the claws of death and is amongst us again.

This is joyous news, indeed.

What a wonderful response from all our fellow Amigan.net anigans - three cheers!

What is the status of Amizilla? A long time ago, I had donated some money to this project, but I haven't heard anything since then.
Are they making good progress?

I think there are some students in England working on this.

I seem to remember googling to an update on this recently.

I have just tried Aweb on Amigakit - fantastic!

Amigakit rocks!

Not only are they the best Amiga dealer ever - they also put an entire PC Amiga package together that makes AIAB look like a load of trash.

Rockon!

There are quite a few enhancements and improvements that could be added to the Shell/CON/CON-Handler troika (no pun intended).

As you know, we hope to revisit the whole Shell/CON/CON-Handler design one day. It won't be before OS4 release, though.

I bought one of these from Amigakit a few months ago.

I haven't been able to get the RTC to save the time and date - I was wondering if there is anything different I have to do - I am used to the A500 clock.

Well, I cannot imagine how you want to download the whole AmigaKit store ...but with regards to AmiKit you shouldn't experience any problems. The package will install into its own location and it will use the Amiga Forever 2006 as a source of the AmigaOS files only. Enjoy!
