@Rogue Quote: EDIT: Having said this, as usual, I cannot reproduce half the problems that people seem to have with it... It runs here, including mods like Urban Terror etc.
Woah.. you're playing Urban Terror? coool.. It was my favorite game for a long time (and i also for a long time i didn't find the time to play it :-/ ) .. maybe we can meet some day at a server and see who's better :-p But first i have to try to get it running again on my A1 .. thos damn time constraints... sigh...

@Rogue
Yeah.. i saw it with the 9800 XT i bought last week (and sold again yesterday ;) ) .. it doesn't even fit in the Pegasos' AGP port.. but it fits and works in the A1 .. Unfortunately that card was broken, so i just sold it again to someone else who want to tinker around with it ...
As for the RV670, well, if i ever get my hands on such an AGP card, i'll happily test them .. but as i won't buy such a card just for the sake of testing that will probably never happen :-/

@Rogue Just for the records: There exist R600.. more precisely R670 cards for AGP (HD 3850). For example: PowerColor Radeon HD 3850 PCSOf course, i don't have a clue about electrical issues.. if it works or not ...

Though i never touched E, i think PortablE would be also a nice tool to "port" E code to C++ code (or other languages).. Now, if only that people of AmiTradeCenter wouldn't insist on selling their 5+ years old code for an exorbitant sum but just release it as open-source or at least let another developer step in or just ask for a much smaller sum .. oh well ..
(Yes, i know Pete's FTP .. it's fine and all... but i'm one of those old-fashioned guys who prefer the two-pane-in-one-window style FTP clients ;) )

Of course i'm trying to avoid that But the cooling liquid is based on double-distilled water and should not conduct ... actually right after building that thing i had a little leak on the gfx cooler while the A1 was already running ... thanks god nothing bad happend and it works since several months now without any problems...

Well, i'd have to use a watercooled PSU because due to the watercooling there's almost no air flow which could cool a fanless PSU ... and yes, watercooled PSUs are also not exactly cheap .. besides they all aren't very stable in the long term :-/ Nah... i'll stick to my beQuiet .. it's actually very quiet .. and after watercooling CPU and gfx board, the loudest thing of my A1 is actually the HD now

@orgin - stickies Sounds good. - paypal Also sounds good. But i could also live with the current solution... at least as an interim one - IPN No problem.. i already integrated IPN once in an onlineshop system of one of my customers... i should be able to also integrate it in Liquorice and commit the changes back to you.. just a matter of time.

@orgin - updating Well, it would be a nice-to-have, but of course if the effort would be too huge i can live with it as it is right now - sticky bounty Of course you can open a bounty and tell in the description that it is a monthly bounty and to all housekeeping by hand. But i meant some automation.. i.e. define a monthly donation goal. Statistics about current donations and maybe of the previous months. After a month (or better on a specified day, i.e. every 1st of a month, or every 15th,...) the bounty is "reset" and donations start again from zero. Also some kind of notification mechanism for the assignee(s) of the bounty would be nice, who could get monthly stats by mail or a notification about goal-reached or something... dunno if something like that is already built in or even feasable.. - PayPal accounts Well.. ok... the DonationHTML is one possibility... using the database for different accounts and just selecting one from a drop down would be more convenient... but it works of course without such luxurity... BTW: built-in IPN integration would be also very nice, but again doing it by hand also works BTW2: Yes, i'm a lazy guy who just wants everything prepared for him

I think your doing excellent job, just think we need a FTP server.
RC-FTPd is open source since quite some time. I talked to Robin Cloutman (the original developer) some weeks ago as there was already a sourceforge project but without any content... in the meantime he added the source, whereby it's not the source of the latest version which got lost due to a hd crash .. but that would really be a start. You can find it here: http://sourceforge.net/projects/rc-ftpd/I got the source since some time, but i didn't find the time to work on it unfortunately..

Just installed and testing .. Works fine so far.. - Could you do something about updating of the page? Right now it doesn't update after an Admin changed something on the categoreis or projects .. or if a user added a bounty it doesn't get reflected in the menu.. - I didn't find a way to generate a "sticky" bounty.. e.g. for covering the monthly costs or something .. could you add something like this? Being able to generate a bounty with monthly donation goal would come really handy for things like monthly costs or maintaining costs etc.. maybe i'll find some more things, but have to test it more first.. Thanks for your work! EDIT: - Would it be possible to add support for different PayPal accounts which could be assigned to the bounties? See my seconds point above, it would be handy to be able to assign a different PP account to such a monthly running costs bounty as it would ease maintaining of donations and stuff.

could you please show a log somewhere with the current FTP commands sent and received? I don't like apps doing something but not telling me.. or only telling some general thing like "connecting to..."
Such a log comes in handy if you have to see where exactly the FTP server stops working.. or your network driver for my sake :-/
The bottom window would be a good place.. if you worry about being connected to more than 1 server at the same time, don't worry ;) Even most big FTP clients on Winblows just fire their logs into one window .. still better than telling the user nothing..
Or did I once again overlook some option?

Hello Orgin,
There's no Amigans Feedback forum, so i'm posting here.
Could you please add a static link to the recent topics page to every page of Amigans?
It's really a PITA if you read a thread and then have to first return to the main page to get to the all recent topics page..
Thank you.

@ Jamie
Regardless of my best wishes to you Jamie, but IMHO what you did is dancing with the devil by moonlight.. and/or selling your soul to him.. I can't believe these morons still find someone at all who wants to work for them, but that you do it is a real shock..
I also "foresee great things for the future of the Amiga platform" but be asured in my vision there won't be a silent fart from any of Bill "i'm a great trucker" McEwen's Amiga company incarnations.. actually i honestly wish them to finally crash & burn totally so we finally get rid of them once and for all .. i'm sorry for you then in that case as you would be one of the victims who wouldn't deserve it..
So all i can do: I wish you the best of luck to manage to get out of Pandora's box before they burn.. the sooner ther merrier..

@Antique I have it - i love it! There are a lot of very good games and of course not so good ones... Super Stardust HD (available online via Playstation Store) is surely one of the best Ok, to be honest: I'm only playing Assassin's Creed anymore since it was released.. what a fantastic game! Ninja Gaiden Sigma is also recommendable ;) Not to forget Heavenly Sword if you like Hack&Slay stuff like God of War... There are plenty of other good games out there... of course i'm also using the PS3 as media player streaming movies and stuff over WiFi from my Linux server (any DLNA server would do). Linux does also work without bigger issues.. just make sure to use the latest beta kernel for e.g. Yellow Dog Linux because only the latest ones are compatible again with PS3 firmware 2.0+ and WiFi.. it's nice to surf with Firefox from within the couch ;) All in all: I'm still amazed after ..hmm .. one year? Got it right after release here in germany... dunno anymore.. And regarding Lair: I really have to buy me that one... ;)
