Re: How Do I.... ?

@xenic

When this feature was added, support for 32-bit pointers this was how they did it... it's been there a while (since 4.0 I think). There are a few 32-bit pointers available for download at os4depot.net and to use them you simply copy the info files to envarc:sys/ . If you're not intrested in 32-bit pointers simply rename/move/delete the files from envarc:sys and the pointers from prefs will be used (up to four colors).

@jbni

Rename/delete envarc:sys/def_pointer.info

I think that should do the trick... try to move/rename it and reboot...

@geennaam

I've found three different infos regarding hsync and vsync min and max... I've tried all three with different results... none of them work but the latest that I found seems to work best. It's crap that DDC didn't work and that I'm unable to find the information that I need. However I'm tired and will go to bed now... Maybe I continue trying later today.

@geennaam

At least I thought that it was correct but I've had a look searching for info on google (couldn't find it in the official pdf file) and it might be wrong. I'm not using the amiga right now, switched to the peezee to watch some youtube but I'll try again later. If that issue gets solved I'll be really happy .

For me OWB 3.23 often hangs if I resize the window (show contents when resizing is chosen). When it happens I need to reboot.

When I tried to resize the window without show content it didn't freeze but instead the display area was smaller after the resize.

Can someone confirm this?

@bitman

In that case I would've choosen 50/50 too... besides I choosed to only have 10Mbit up since it was much cheaper so you can send files faster than me ...

My parents got 100/100 for 200 SEK/month (20?)... that would be nice.

@Eldritch

I have the very same issue and I have tried to get the settings for my monitor right, tried with and without DDC. It's somewhat better now that I've changed the settings manually from information in the manual etc. In windows I could see that it was set to 59Hz wich makes it blank less than if I set it to 60Hz for example, and I've added RB but it still blanks every now and then so it seems to be something that can't be fixed by the user .

or my 100Mbit connection... it downloaded in a speed of about 5MB/sec... didn't take very long to download it at all :-p

ps2 seems to be working better at the moment but I'm only using USB on my A1 XE since the cool mouse and keyboards are USB only these days. So better USB is very important IMHO.

Where are update 1???!!! ...

@kas1e

I haven't seen that issue before so can't help you. Like you wrote about the sound stuttering that's exactly the same issue that I have with most/all AGA-games. I believe that I've seen the same issue on slower pcs with winuae if JIT wasn't enabled but with JIT turned on it went away.

@kas1e

SlamTilt sure is the best and yes it works great in E-UAE but as with most AGA games it wouldn't hurt if it was a bit faster (JIT-emulation)... however it's playable AFAICR on my A1 G4 XE 800MHz...

On the first AOS 4 CD that was sent out by snail-mail a commodity came with it that did just this. I don't know why people aren't using it? When I used it it behaved just like in windows.

I have a question since I haven't seen this mentioned anywhere. Sometimes when typing an URL and pressing enter nothing happens but clicking in the text field using the mouse pointer and pressing enter again solves it. Quite anoying though. Anyone else? A known issue?

@tommo1975

I don't know if this is related but it might be... Are you runing LimpidClock? If you are change the priority to the lowest setting or simply quit it for testing... It slows down E-UAE and DOSBox a lot if you don't lower the priority settings...
