@magic

Thanks. :) 4 donations in 1 month now.

The user list buttons feature is complete, working well not crashing, etc. And theres now a checkbox in the settings window to hide/show joins/parts. I want to redo the Aliases prefs gui, then add Function keys support, and add new strings to the language catalogs... then I will probably release beta 2 soon.

Oh, and I also fixed the width of the button-tabs problem.. text can now be chopped off automatically to make the buttons less wide, so you can fit more buttons at the bottom of the screen..

@MagicSN

I have a question.. Will your new XMAME run existing games slower than the older XMAME on os4depot.net? If so, would it be a good idea to leave the 0.97 XMAME on os4depot too for people who are trying to game on their slower systems, i.e. Sams' etc?

This is a very good feature! but I would like it refined slightly..

1. when you press enter to search, I'd like the "search next" gadget to be activated, so pressing enter again will search again without needing to click anywhere else again..

and 2. if you implement that, can you make it search from the top again if its at the very bottom?

But the Search GUI layout is perfect! thank you!

@Mrodfr

Thats an interesting idea, but my program doesnt take all the information from the IBrowse hotlist. It will turn all sub groups into a normal group on the next line down. It doesnt save shortcuts, or the "show in bookmarks" value either.. as those values werent useful in OWB.

@thread

It's ready. I'll sit on it for awhile just in case I've missed any bugs. Also, I need to write some docs.

Sorry about this.. but my app needs yet another compromise.. I cant get my trees to save properly. It's only reliable with one level of groups in your root level.. groups inside groups with entries scattered inside and in between... its pretty messed up!

For the time being, I've made it just turn Subgroups into Groups on the next line down.. if you get what I mean. This retains the data, avoids crashes, and is an alright band aid solution I guess. :)

@jbni

Open sys:prefs/input

Then try ticking "Amiga keyboard". Thats how I got mine to work a long time ago. I'm using a different keyboard now though.

Okay, the first 90% of the program is complete. Now I just have to do the second 90% and figure out how to save the data from my nlistree trees properly. (It gets mucked up easily with newly added sub trees and sub-sub trees).

@TSK

I have few problems with RockBEAT.. please email me and we can discuss it, and work with each other on fixing it..

It's hard fixing software when it fails to crash for myself. It sounds like you get plenty of crashes so you can help me. :)

a) Yeah, it looks like something I'd prefer over the current offerings, especially if it can directly import my old IBrowse bookmarks.

b) It would be great if we could also get menu access to the bookmarks.

c) I'd also prefer Reaction over MUI for this (because OWB uses Reaction) - but it is not crucial for me.

a) it imports IBrowse bookmarks right now as it is.

b) I cant add menus to OWB's main window. I could add it to the bookmark tools windows though.. but then you'd still need to open the bookmarks tool..

c) I'm good and familiar with MUI. I wont use Reaction sorry guys. :(

Yet another OWB bookmarking tool

I started making one, thinking it'd be cool to copy IBrowse, and import its bookmarks list.. but a few hours later after I had done most of it, I tried out the bookmark tool thats supplied with OWB 3.12.. and I kinda like it! It's simple and fast and easy...

Should I bother continuing with this? Does anyone even want it?

It's okay if no one's interested, because its only one evening of work..

Re: Active screen

@orgin

Thanks for the code. I didnt know this existed.. so I've used it in my Alt Tab Switcher program. Uploaded to os4depot.net already. :)

From the readme:
Thanks to Orgin and Xeron on www.amigans.net for providing code for detecting
the active screen!

Changes
-------
v1.9
- Previously, opening the Alt Tab Switcher window would jump to the screen
where it was last closed. So if you used the switcher to switch to Screen A,
then used RAmiga+M to get to Screen B, pressing Alt+Tab again would make
Screen A appear and the AltTabSwitcher GUI would appear on that screen.
This has now been fixed!
AltTabSwitcher will now always appear on the CURRENT screen.

Is there functionality coming for searching for text on the web page?

AmiDVD and two partitions

Not too shy to talk

AmiDVD burns twice as fast as Frying Pan. But it can only have 1 source at a time, so I cant backup my sys: and my coding: partition onto the same disc using AmiDVD. Is there a trick I can use to get around this? I tried assigning sys: and coding: to one assign, but that didnt work..

Thanks for any suggestions guys!

@uwelauke

With the early versions of OWB, I think you specify the website name when you run OWB from shell.

"run OWB http://www.amigans.net"
