Quote: It take approx. 40 secs here to fully loaded WB (and all docks and so on). But I have a lot of stuff in WBStartup, user-startup and AmiDock. (I have that "run addnetinterface" in S-S.) List of WBStartup: AISS, FuelGauge, StartTunenet, SGrab, Wet, AutoUpdateWB, CapsLockStater, TitleClock, BenchTrash, RAWBInfo, DefIcons, AsyncWB, AmiDock, ClickToFront, DepthToFront, ContextMenus, DiskImageGUI. I have two visible dock panels and three hidden ones.

Hi @salass00 I got an answer from Antec and it seems the warranty was still in force the month that I made the support ticket with them, so now I just need to get the PSU posted to them and they should send me a replacement
Glad to hear you're covered by warranty. I hope to get my A1 up and running about the time you get your microA1 going!

Hi @TMTisFree
Yessss, 12 sec.: all IDE timeouts was set at 10 sec. in UBoot Prefs
Thanks for info! That's interesting... so two HDs and a CD/RW and DVD/RW account for 40secs. of delay. Even 5 secs cuts the time in half!

Mikey,
Let's hope they don't try that. It would only complicate matters further. As hard as it is to do, let's wait for the judge to decide rather than risk infuriating him by jumping the gun on anything related to this case.

@abalaban Quote: Didn't bother to d/l the whole package since the AHI on OS4 final CD seemed to contail all that is out there and is relevant for A1... Imho it should have been there, at least documented (AHI drivers were installed during the installation) Jack Edit: typo

@abalaban No crashes with new one/ So far I tried anonymous sites and found: ftp://hyperion-entertainment.biz/(can't follow into the directory inside. cmdline ftp works) and this: ftp://sunsite.informatik.rwth-aachen.de//pub/comp/tex/teTeX(cmdline ftp goes there without problems..) Jack

@Jack It's part of the AHI distrib and like for example emu10kx.audio is a driver for AHI. With this driver used for your Music Unit AHI preference you will be able to redirect (normally) blocking access to the AHI music unit to your first AHI unit for example thus making it non blocking. This way you will never have blocked audio anymore.... But I wold say RTFM, it's explained there

@Jack
A bug was found inthe ftp module when it was trying to open the dialog to ask for authentication. This bug did not happen when you had the required authentication saved in AWeb (i.e. the bug was really caused by the window opening). Normally this bug was corrected at last in the newest beta, but it seems to me it was a little more before.

@Jack You did not include your AWeb version and date... We can say you that a bug was found in older version that was corrected in newest if we don't know that

@Jack Quote: From Martin Blom's website: Quote: A new driver, device.audio, can be used to make all low-level AHI applications, which normally open AHI in exclusive mode, behave as if they used the high-level API which allows several AHI applications to work simultaneously. You need to install device audio and device from the AHI package. Once you have installed AHI and the most recent version of your audio driver from OS4depot: (1)AHI prefs select unit#0 and choose a HIFI 16bit stereo ++ mode that matches your audio driver. (2)Be sure frequency is set to 44100 (3)16 is ok for "channels" (4)Do not raise Db leave at +0.0 (5)Input: Line in (6)Output: Line out Current version of device audio is V6.2 btw. #6
