no real hopes or what...simply waiting...but wasnt a problem to get a bit of hope no?
However if someone forom devs will answer to that I think that was only a good thing...

@kas1e

AFAIK Gallium have drivers for Radeon9800 as described on my topic on AW:

http://www.amigaworld.net/modules/new ... opic_id=33018&forum=14&92

As the above topic have clarify Gallium on AmigaOS4 may or not may support it...
So me realy hope that at Gallium release(maybe at Xmass or a bit later just togheter A1X1000?) Radeon9800 will "automatically" be supported so we Pegasos2 users can buy a second hand 2x Radeon9800pro card to get maximum performances from our hw...and I think that also Radeon9800 with Gallium will be really faster than my 9000pro...

Actually I dunno who from developers team can answer to that question...

So no hope to get Qt working decently on Pegasos2...

Hope that maybe someone will upgrade Warp3D/minigl in some way...oe someone will get a trick to get PCI HD cards tol work on Peg2... :P

@alfkil & ChrisH

mmm...
that wasnt so good news since:

- Sam440ep cant get faster gfx if in tiny cases...
- Pegasos2 users cant use any HD PCI gfx cars AFAIK

So that was really not so good news...
Hope that Hans/Hyperion will give us some way to sole that troubles...

@alfkil

regarding of slowness I tryed the JuffEd released on AMiNet and was REALLY slow... :(
Nothing comparablel on the FAST Annotate that I use...

You cant do anything about that?
If the speed of the apps compiled with Qt was that unfortunatelly we cant use any of that...
And I've tryed Juffed on my Peg2@1131........I dont imagine how ti works on Sam@667...

ufortunately not 9xxx, but only 92xx or 90xx not 91xx or 95xx or 96xx or 98xx(the best AGP gfx card theorically compatible with AmigaOn/Peg2 systems)...

You can, however put a PCI X/HD card on A1(not Peg2) where the Hans drivers where avaialble...

So..
If yoyu can found one get a Radeon9000pro for best performances or a plain 9250 as standard...

@Hans

Sorry but I still dont get why you are so negative against what I'm say...

I'm simply say that having a *full* video editor that the *only* thing it miss was that he saves in a single way(avi/jpg/mov/anim no mater).
So the only "weird" thing to do was to save the edited video in the supported format and than use ffmpeg or mencoder(or simply made a script doing that) to convert it in a "standard" format...

And also the program can simply be enanched in future to use the encoder lib where available and than saves directly...

But why wait for a program that can do all the things and only lacks tha saves routine/lib?

Or it can simply have a plug-in system to implement the savers easly where it will be available no?

So ugly? Not seems to me...

@Hans

well..
I stated theat the program have to work fully without for the saving part...
loading and editing have to work fully...

Only saving can be done in other ways..

I explained bad?

@Hans

The Amiga-way-of-programming(sadly) wasnt here from a while since now...
And having a littel tool that works fine with the only limitation that outputting raw instead of your preferred codec I think was really much than "better than nothing" imho...

And also better to have something like it "now" and than work on things like output decoders than first work on all the needed dependencies and than build the program imho...

And yes.. Blender was way slow...

@Hans

you're a great man with little time! :)

However, I talked about avcodec becasue I tought to use that to decode the videos to edit...

For the encode why dont simply mafe a raw(or something strandard) and than use ffmpeg to encode it?

Since we dont have a decent video editor, I thinik that the first thing we need was a decent one that can simply save in standard...for the encoders we have much time and using ffmpeg(or mencoder) was a rather usefull and easy way meantime imho...

no?

Really nice idea!
But I will donate only if the program have visual editing GUI with video thumbs timeline(so a reather modern GUI).
I think that with avcodec.library that wasnt so hard to do...

Just to be celar of what I've in mind, the video editor shipped with WindowsXP was a rather perfect goal to achieve(maybe a bit simpler but not so much)...

If the Hyperion blog wss updated at least one time every 2 weeks with writing in it what are all you(devcelopers) doing(simply making a list no necessarily a complete eta...), all of we wiill be (VERY)less pesting and annoying...

I(and many more guys around) dont like the silence we have to get much of the time...

Unfortunately if you arent working on it I dunno who can work on it ... :P

The Radeon9250GE was a 9250 with 128bit and 256MB RAM and RAM DAC at 400MHz...

Here a complete feature list:

http://www.atomicmpc.com.au/Review/22599,asus-radeon-9250-gamers-edition-td.aspx

Dunno if the 9100 was faster that that too...
what do you think?

@Hans

Well...
since on my Peg2 I can use only AGP cards and only 2x cards the best choice for my config was to get a Radeon9800...
But since you are telling me that Radeon9800 wont be supported I will see to buy a 9100 that was the curently faster card for AmigaOS4.1 around right?
Or also the 9250 gamer edition was the same?

Thank you!

Re: What do you expect from update 3?
Not too shy to talk
Not too shy to talk

mmm...
Imho the problem wasnt what we would get in the Update3 of if its for payment or not...
But the usb2 topic was, imho, ridiculous...
When AmigaOS4.0 came out, usb2 was already there(so about 7 years ago...), so why I have to pay for something I have already paid for at least 2 times(OS4 and OS4.1) in the past?
Sorry, but that wasnt fair...
The new Shell could be for payment but usb2 no...
Also all the bugfixes(for example the bad looking asl req refresh), have to be free...

I think that Update3 have to be the last free OS4.1 update and than we will have AmigaOS4.2(or maybe also 4.3 if it have many much features) with sehll, gallium, smp and more...so an OS to be used on the X1000...
