Re: Radeon RX cards on X1000

@Raziel

Looking good.
Would you please share here the exact syntax of the command you entered in CFE to get the startup env to autoboot?

I tried goos command from os4welt, it reboots the machine with autoboot, but the change does not change permanently. I tried the setenv -p which didn’t seem to work.

What card are you using?
Do you have link to a list of supported RX cards?

Thanks.

Radeon RX cards on X1000

This link suggests that Goos has found a hacky way of getting a Radeon RX card running on the X1000. https://os4welt.de/viewtopic.php?t=2639

Would value any comments about this before I go poking around in my X1000.

@Huno

Thanks, fun video.
Was the speed up driven simply by removing shaders, or have you made other performance tweaks that will persist once shaders are re-enabled?

@kas1e

Great to read that Huno has found the cause of fps issues.
The port loads and looks great on AmigaOS4. Amazing what Hunos’ EGL pack and the Enhancer pack contributors have done for the graphics subsystems. Well done all!!

Thanks, it really put me on the right lines.

Daedalus suggested to use SPat "version >> t:output.txt"#? which worked for me.

version "minigl.library"

Dump drawer contents to text file with date file size and version number?

Hi, I normally use SYSMON or Ranger to check my libs versions. Those programs do not offer an option to output to text file. Is there a shell command that would do this?

Thanks.

Hi for some reason Darkplaces refuses to start. It work perfectly a while back.
I reinstalled from scratch with known good PAK files.

The last error states:

Quake Error: Host_Error: EntityFrameQuake_ReadEntity: invalid entity number (0)

Full console output below.
Has anyone fixed a similar issue?

I now notice that clicking on the gui forces toggling between window and full screen. Not sure what happened. Will try a reinstall to see if it resolves the issue.

Thanks, no the AmigaOS4 build that i got from here https://buildbot.scummvm.org/#/dailybuilds
has the shaders in scummvm_dir/shaders/

I created the engines/grim/shaders/ drawer and copied the grim shaders to there. All seems good now.

Good video.
Does this need RadeonRX? I use a Southern Islands card.
I have the same versions of ogles and warp3dnova as you.
I got the 20/04/22 branch of ScummVM, however Grim gives me the error cannot open grim_primitive.vertex.

Any ideas?
