Welcome to a new competition here on Amigans.net!




For the month of December, we'll be playing Rick Dangerous, a game originally developed by Core Design, but now available on AmigaOS 4 thanks to xrick and the porting done by Jabirulo and smarkusg.




The aim of the game is to guide Rick Dangerous through the dangerous levels and obtain the highest score possible.

You can download it from OS4Depot:

Installation is easy, just unarchive it to your wanted destination and double-click on the icon of the game to start.

Rick Dangerous should work on all AmigaOS 4 setups.

Post scores below - screenshots or photos taken with your cellphone is fine.

The contest runs until the end of the month as usual.

Hopefully we'll set up a Christmas orientated games competition as well besides Rick Dangerous a bit later on in the month.

I'll post here when my system arrives.

Last I heard from them (AAA) was on the 8th of November. At that time, almost all boards were tested at the manufacturer and they expected to receive them this month. Hopefully they'll get boards and systems shipped out in December.

No YouTube video from me, but I'll write a review for my blog.

Hi Raziel! Thanks for the explanation. Now I understand why the music won't play. It is a bit strange the author did not include support for this, since part of the reason the game exists is to play the music by Queen.

Thanks for testing, Maijestro! Too bad it does not have any of the background music. Even though it takes a bit of time to load, the game itself (once you start playing) is very good in my opinion.

I did some browsing and the game is supposed to contain music made by Queen, hence the name Tetris Queen! The DOS version has music in MIDI.

I'm considering writing a review of Tetris Queen for my blog. The game looks nice and it plays well, but sadly I can't make the music to play in the background. Have done the in-game sound test and that works for sound effects.
