Only problems I have encountered so far are 'boing ball' blanker no longer displays and if I log into Amigans.net with muiowb it says I'm logged in but am not as wont allow me to input anything! But works fine with Timberwolf!

@ChrisH Quote: He seemed very keen on using Timberwolf, which probably rules out the Sam440 (Flex or not). I don't know how well Timberwolf runs on a Sam460, but in principle it shouldn't be too much slower than the X1000 (and of course Timberwolf has not been optimised *at all* yet). Timberwolf is just about usable on SAM460 but nowhere as fast as MUIOWB hence that is my default browser, but when the speed is optimised it will be very good indeed.

For what it's worth, it's happened to me too. Thanks, dunno why it changed in first place, I didn't change anything? All sorted now

Hi All
Why have all the avatars gone missing from forum posts, not any displaying here any more, is it just me or a general situation?
Sorry if this has been mentioned elsewhere but I haven't seen anything written about it!

Still got My MicroA1 - Use it now and then, but its not my everyday computer. I have lots of enthusiasm thanks, why you so negative? I use my SAM460 as my main computer now, swapped from my MacBook Pro almost immediately after getting it all set up how I like it. We have modern browsers (MUIOWB and Timberwolf), MSN (SAbreMSN),e- mail clients (SimpleMail and YAM) and can knock out the odd letter with the likes of Final Writer and Cinnamon Writer etc. So it's not all doom and gloom, yes we are missing an office suite and a few other items but I can do pretty much all I want to do with the Amiga and guess what?.............. It's so much more fun

To cut a long story short I have got someone to come back to the Amiga today A guy who I was trying to buy a webcam off via his company SpicedApple, he said he couldnt get that particular model any more and wondered why I wanted that actual one. I explained I wanted it to use on the Amiga and he came back to me saying her was an Amiga user 10 years ago and left the scene, after some discussion via e-mail he says he is very interested in returning so I told him about ACubes entry level SAM440 for 270 Euros and he is investigating further and may get one. Cheers me up no end to find these people who used to use the Amiga unaware that it's still evolving and takes little to get them interested again I know it's only one person but if many of us managed to do that it would be a start......... who knows!

Quote: First of all thanks! Then i tried it on my sam440ep but always at startup, after the splash screen, i have a GR just when the timberwolf's window opens and the GR says it is a libcairo.so fault.. i have a GR that i can send you by e-mail..
Before running Timberwolf i deleted the old one and re-created the font cache.. I get exactly the same here on my SAM460 after fresh install and doing the font cache thing via shell, had to go back to older pre-RC vesrsion as can't find RC1 version anywhere!

It has been resolved by applying the following settings given to me by 'Number6' Name: MUIOWB Path: OS4.1:Internet/muiowb/owb "%u" ARexx port: BROWSER Show: Show To front: SCREENTOFRONT Open URL: OPEN NAME "%u" New indow: <left blank> It all works now with woth AmiPad and Simplemail, that's what the Amiga community is all about, helping each other

Hi all, been trying to get OpenURL to work with AmiPad and Simplemail but doesn't fully work!
I have tried to get working with following settings within OpenURL Prefs:
Name: MUIOWB Path: OS4.1:Internet/muiowb/owb ARexx port: OWB.1
Show: SHOW To front: SCREENTOFRONT Open URL: OPEN NAME "%u" NEWPAGE New window: OPENURL "%u"
MUIOWB launches but does not go to website!
Are these setting correct, I have the same issue with AmiPad and Simplmail and clicking on a URL link within a mail and trying to get MUIOWB to show link?
Is there something I have set wrong?
