@Billsey

I already heard of similar court case in Italy (a year or two ago IIRC)... Not sure exactly of the details though...

.Net question
Not too shy to talk
Not too shy to talk

Hi All,

Sorry, It's not Amiga related...

I'm currently developing a .Net project...

I have a ListView populated from a Database (a servers list)... But when I try to get the text of an item I get a "NULLReferenced Objects"...

My code looks like:
ListViewItem pItem = LServerList->GetItemAt(1,0)->Text;

// LServerList is the name of the ListView on the Form...

I looked on a lot of forums... But most of them are for VB.Net or C#...

Any idea what I'm doing wrong ?

Thanks.

Jerry

@Raziel

If I might join in...

Thanks to everyone involved directly (and less directly) with OS4 Development... And I mean also a big thanks to developers (and "porters") who did a great job so far !
Carry on... My A1 is "almost" my main computer at home... Using the PCs mainly for Internet banking and P2P...

@Rudei

Maybe a 3-Cag just for that would be an idea ?

I have a few spare KB/mouse lying around... Maybe USB as well, but certainly also some PS2 to USB adapters...

@dIS_NLS

Also (as usual) check the battery and that the cpu fan is working fine (or is it passive cooling in a uA1 ?)... Is it "cold" enough in the case ?

@ikir

The simplest way (which I believe allow you to crunch faster since the Dnetc client do not need to fetch blocks by itself) is to manually fetch it...

For this, send an Email to fetch_at_distributed.net
and in the body put:
numblocks=1000
contest=OGR
.. After a few minutes (secs ?) you will receive the file to put in your dnetc folder with 1000 blocks to fetch !

Replace the file before it reaches 0 !

Mine is just Nasher, my youngest cat sitting on top of my CRT monitor while I was trying to do some "stuff"... Now that I have a flat screen, she's having some difficulties standing on top of it !

I still have some problem with my SDK (I believe it's not loaded properly, I need to check my Startup-Sequence)... I will try to look into it this weekend if I'm not too busy with gardening !...

@LyleHaze

Good to hear that your problem is now solved...

Age of the battery seems often "irrelevant"...
After a black screen, I changed my battery at a 3Cag meeting... Then everything was fine again... For JUST a few weeks !

So I changed it again... And it lasted a few more weeks... Before I had to do it again... But then it lasted a few months (and still do) !

They seem to be identical batteries to start with. I didn't upgrade my A1XE at all during that time (just some libs, apps,... Nothing major).
I reckon these batteries are not always in PERFECT condition when bought... They might have spend too much time on the shelves !

@Plagueis

Welcome to the right place !

I bought all (except one) of my A1200D and A1200T off Ebay and Amibench... Really great !
The only one which didn't come from these was bought from a small UK Company with a very bad service/support and fat prices !

@All

Just installed... I had to reboot 3 times before it worked correctly !

First Time: A lot of DSI Error (starting with eth3com, then USB...) followed by a full crash ("press left mouse button..." msg)
Second Times: Everythings worked fine... But the KB did worked properly (The "s" worked fine... but a most others seemed to think that the {Amiga} Key was also pressed... So another reset...

And the third time was the Good One... Now it works fine !

Thanks Hyperion for the Update !

A Racing Car + A Space Ship = New Demo for AOS4 ?

Or a new port of OpenGL or something like that ?

Or you bought a new Car (e.g. sport car reaching light speed )
