They can't even get them right though... 16 fluid ounces to a pint, that must have been started by a tight pub landlord. I can't remember the american yards on a mile but iirc their miles are short than a real mile.

yep it's the LE rather than the 8500, LE's are weird cards.

only use the last two versions of mplayer (the ones with overlay support), do not try and use SDL video playback, just use the defaults.

Maybe overlay isn't supported for your gfx card yet, try disabling it in the tooltypes, for encrypted dvd playback you will need dvddvplayer.lha from os4depot

@LyleHaze
if it's just a single program and it uses audio.device directly just hex edit the exe and rename audio.device so it can't find it.
Although if your getting loads of dsi's I suspect you have the wrong ahi driver installed, make sure you have the latest newmem compatible driver.

The new feature is that the anim your watching is pause when you open a menu, but from the description it's detecting the right mouse button or menu access when it's not the active window (only a guess)

@Swoop Easy enough Go to the settings and do this: Highlight and copy the url you want to change Change the URL option to REXX and click on 'INT' Choose NEWBROWSER and in the 2nd string gadget type "<r-amiga v>" Ensure you enter the quotes or it won't work.

FTFM dude, it's a new feature that's part of DVPlayer, looks like it's global rather than local menu control.
Maybe Cobra should make this 'feature' optional.

@Swoop
In settings / GUI turn 'New... / Open links in' to new browser
Check your FAB Menus too, if you copied your old 2.3 prefs over to 2.4 you will have lost things like 'view link in new inactive browser'.
BTW 'Browser' can mean either window or tab depending on the users settings.
The OEM version is limited but not as limited as the Demo version.

it's an mui setting problem, nothing to do with IBrowse, from ibrowse preferences menu call MUI and change groups / backround.

@Ricossa hmmm... redirecting output to env is a bit naughty, you could use
setenv n `requeststring <blah> <blah>`
or
requeststring <blah> <blah> TO env:n
I prefer to use the set, get & unset commands as they just store variables in memory instead of using a device. ie.
set n `REQUESTSTRING "Wake Up" "How many minutes do you want to sleep?"` IF $n EQ "" QUIT ELSE set m `REQUESTFILE TITLE="Choose your music"` WAIT min $n YOURPATH:amigaamp/amigaamp $m ENDIF unset n unset m

I thought I'd start this thread so people can post their DOS scripts here. Please only post working scripts and a short description of what they do and how to use them. This one does a complete flush and reports the totals at the end usage: cut'n'paste it in notepad, save it as c:fullflush, open a shell and 'protect c:fullflush +s' then just enter 'fullflush' to run it... -------------------------------------------------
echo Flushing... set original `avail virtual` lab loop set before `avail virtual` set after `avail virtual flush` set freed `eval $after - $before / 1024` echo Flushed: $freed kb. if $freed EQ 0 skip done endif skip loop back
lab done echo "" echo Free ram before flush: `eval $original / 1024` kb. echo Free Ram after flush: `eval $after / 1024` kb. set freed `eval $after - $original / 1024` echo ram freed: $freed kb. unset original unset before unset after unset freed

Add this to your s:user-startup
makelink ram:disk.info envarc:sys/def_ram.info soft
Anything you do to your ram icon is automatically done to the def_ram icon too, snapshotting, changing the image etc...

@BillE Then dump BT and pay your line rental to someone else, I'm with Homecall (pipex) and F2S.com (also pipex), when I had trouble with my ADSL they contacted BT and I had an appointment arranged within 3 hours of my sunday morning call for the next week and the engineer was only 20 mins late. BT may piss you about but they can't afford to piss off pipex

I cannot agree with you there, BT may have caused temporary trouble for a few million people whereas M$ has caused prolonged trouble for billions of people.
