Software News : Tubexx (Youtube client) for OS4 released
Posted by pvanni on 2008/1/21 7:54:13 (4157 reads) News by the same author
Software News

Tubexx it's a client for youtube written by Paolo Germano
using RxMui, with Tubexx you can find, play and download
youtube videos, once downloaded videos can be converted
in divx or dvd format so you can see them on your player of choice.
All this whith a comfortable mui interface.
Paolo Germano realised it for MOS/MUI4 version, I ported it for OS4/MUI3.
Tubexx use mplayer to see videos and ffmpeg for the conversion.
There are so much possibilities built in Tubexx and you can find them
at: Tubexx main page

I found a mistake in the ReadmeOS4, you can
find the "xsltproc" command in the
Cygnix Addon

Re: Tubexx (Youtube client) for OS4 released
Fantastic work Paolo and 'pvanni'! It works flawlessly on my setup. I've been missing a program like that.

However; looking at the screenshots at the website and comparing it with my MUI config I realize I suck at composing visually pleasing MUI configs. Is there an artist out there who'd like to give it a shot making a "skin" for me and others so that it looks more like the screenshots? It'd probably be hard to make it look 100% like the original since it uses some MUI4 features, but if anyone saw my pitiful attempt they'd fall over laughing

Unfotunately it appears the file is no longer hosted on OS4Depot, is there anywhere else we can get it?
