@328gts
I had issues with mine which seem to have been to do with using the wrong version of SetPatch.

@samo79
It might not be this, but you have to install the first version first - if you get the latest version from OS4Depot you don't get all of the required files to run.
@thread
The last I read IIRC was the ssolie thought that since we have a modern browser now in Odyssey, there were other projects that would benefit from the time spent on them rather than another browser which would largely reproduce what Odyssey alreay does.

AmigaDOS File copy problem

Hi All
I've been trying to copy over music files from my PC to my Amiga 4.1.6 system. If I listen to a .m4a file streaming over Samba from the PC, it plays fine.
However, if I try and copy them over using either COPY or WB, the files seem corrupt in some way - they won't play. It's almost as if AmigaDOS is copying the m4a files over as ASCII instead of binary.
DOpus (from the Extras folder) doesn't copy a working file either, and the file size is slightly smaller than the AmigaDOS copy.
Can anyone suggest anything I can try?
Thanks
Jason

@AmigaBlitter I used the OS4 Depot version of e-uae, copying in the .uaerc file from RunInUAE and making the required config changes from the JIT README. I didn't touch the existing RunInUAE installation at all, for fear of messing it up somehow

SimpleMail issues

Hi all,
I'm using SimpleMail to connect to an IMAP server.
When the Inbox is selected from the top left pane, it won't delete a message from the message list in the top right pane.
If I double click the message to open it, i can delete it from the child window that opens.
However, it doesn't seem to write the changes back to the IMAP server. The AmigaGuide doesn't have much to say on the IMAP client, and the website says that SimpleMail only supports IMAP in a simple way. By "simple way" does it mean that you can basically only read mail from the IMAP server?
Thanks!

@zzd10h
Thanks, that did it.
I read the readme and checked that native menus and dialogues were unchecked, but didn't go any further than that for some reason! <facepalm>

Failed to create temporary opengl context

Hi all,
I've installed Qt on my X1000, using Epsilon's install guide, but all it ever says when I try to run one of the demos is "Failed to create temporary opengl context!"
I tried installing MiniGL but that seems to be already installed with the OS.
Can anyone suggest anything to try? Are there any logs I can look into?
Thanks
Jason

@LiveForIt
Been experimenting with the settings as you suggest and I got Giana Sisters running at full speed with these settings:
In the DEVS:Monitors/Radeon tooltypes I added the line
MODE=360x284@60
My .uaerc file in the E-UAE folder looks like this:
--
amiga.rom_path=rom kickstart_rom_file=rom/amiga-os-130.rom kickstart_key_file=rom/rom.key sound_output=normal joyport0=mouse joyport1=joy0
show_leds=true gfx_framerate=3 chipset=ocs gfx_linemode=none gfx_lores=true gfx_fullscreen_amiga=true gfx_width_windowed=360 gfx_height_windowed=284 sound_latency=200 sound_frequency=8000
--
This gives full screen output, with slightly dodgy audio and flickery graphics. If it's not good enough, try increasing the gfx_framerate to 4 and reducing sound_frequency to 5000.
I'm sure you can afford a lower value of gfx_framerate with the 800MHz Flexes, you luck people!

@LiveForIt Thanks for that, I'd assumed LowLevel meant banging the hardware. Looks like we're knackered then, E-UAE it is. E-UAE's quite slow on a Sam440ep though

@328gts
I can't get Deluxe_GalageA.lha or Deluxe_GalagaE.lha to work on my SAM 440ep 667MHz (I get DSI errors) but 2.6c runs....the initial configuration screen.
Unfortunately I can't get the config screen to recognise the USB joystick as a joystick in port 1 - nothing happens once the joystick is set up in the lowlevel tab.
(Actually, the config screen asks for the joystick in "Port#2" but since there isn't one i assume this to be port1, the mouse being in port0.
Does anyone have any ideas on how I can get the config screen to pick up the lowlevel joystick?
Cheers

@TheDaddy
Yeah, I'm sure we all have big ATX boxes taking up lots of room; a nice, small box would be great!
