Thanks for the replies.
USB could be a bit of a problem for me as its a bit shakey on my old XE and all my slots are in use with Sii ide card, sound card and catweasle mk3 so no USB2 card for me.
Its a shame not much on these old earlybird boards worked properly could have save a couple of slots at least.

Hi all
I'm running OS4 update 6 on my A1XE and I've reacently notice that my camd drivers have stoped working. I still have the camd.library in LIBS: and the emu10kx sound blaster driver in devs/midi and it all worked a while ago (haven't use my A1 for some time now).
I'm not sure at what point it stoped whether it was update 6 or even 5, can anyone enlighten me on this problem?
Sorry if this has been address already but a quick search came up with nothing.

To see that in the days most people were still using the likes of the Commodore 64 or Sinclair spectrum was truly amazing. Now to celebrate all we need is a new machine with the same advanced steps in terms of technology, something that makes a 6 core i7 look like a Commodore 64 by today's standards.

Yes very good. Now I wonder how many people can watch that movie in OWB on OS4, I'll guess none at least not without downloading it and watching it in a separate video player. How about the same question for Firefox users, well all of them can watch it in browser. Can you see the irony.

I think an option to override and choose what plugin you want to play chosen files. For example I have both GME and MSX plugins installed so that I can play all the old retro tunes from the 8bit days. The problem I have is when loading MSX .kss files tunet automatically selects GME to play the file, which sadly is unable to play 80% of the file I have where as the separate MSX plugin can play them all.

Yup it crashes on facebook aswell as being slooooow! I'm guessing java script is slowing it down, why is this so slow when enabled in Amiga browsers? I hate to think how slow full Java would be.
Otherwise it seems quite responsive and downloading is at last implemented, though i would like to see some form of progress indicator.

@LiveForIt Quote: SID chip is supported but only when using VICE, I have a MkIII with SID chip. The only problem is that sound samples in the later games music do not play you just get a clicking noise, but this was down to a hardware fault on the MkIII. There is a work round for the Windows driver that would play them, as far as I know the MkIV has fixed the problem but can not confirm how well it works on OS4. Does anyone have a MkIV with SID chip as I would be interested in how well it works with VICE.

I would like to know about secure web pages, does OWB use ssl and is it safe to use on Ebay and Paypal, how do you know a page is secure or not?

If you wish to connect both you Amiga and PS3 to the net at the same time then a router is advisable but this is not you immidiate problem.
What ADSL protacol does you provider use, if it is ADSL2+ and you have only ADSL then you have the same problem as I did. If your moden can not be upgraded by firmware then get a new modem/router, you can't go far wrong with Netgear or Linksys(Cisco) they are both easy to set up and use.
I have my A1 a PC with linux an windows plus all three current consoles connected now with no issues.

If you are on ADSL how old is your modem? I was having similar problems with my connection a short while ago, I was using an old ADSL modem/router. I have since got a new Netgear ADSL2+ modem/router and the problem has gone it stays on line all the time now. I was talking to a friend about it and he suggested that the old modem was talking in an out of date protacol and although it worked it would stop if not used and take an age to start again because the isp's server did not understand its requests.
If your modems sofware is upgradable has it got the latest firmware of if its just too out of date it may be worth investing in a new one.

It seems a bit faster and smoother now. I noticed the screen shots on the OWB web page are of the first version which had the built in address book, is this function going to return at some point rather than using a limited external program?
Has anyone who has use OWB on facebook tried to use the chat system? as I have been able to open a window and type but when I press return to enter the text nothing happens.

Sorry Mikey_C my luck has just changed I can now run the game in hardware render mode though at the mo I don't have any in game sound. I installed the Amigainput.library from update 4 don't know if that will help you.

Thanks for that I have now installed the AmigaInput.library from update 4 and the game now works. I have had it running in hardware accelertated mode at 800x600 and it is very smooth, the only problem now is there is no ingame sound. I will try a few more video and sound settings to see what the best I can get is.
Edit I have since tried removing both the AmigaInput and LowLevel librarys from LIBS: and this also allows the game to run so I guess Heretic II does not need the LowLevel.library in order to run. I can run it at 1024x768 at a good smooth speed in hardware render mode but have had some random system lockups where even the two, three key reboot options don't respond. I am still unable to get any sound in game though video sound is ok

The CD device was set automaticly and shows up in the prefs window, this is correct. I have the fixed RTGmaster libraries installed but I get the same crash if I use them or not. I have uploaded 2 crash logs to OS4Dept, these were using rtgmaster.
