PCB Production Places / USA
Just popping in
Just popping in

It's my first time having boards produced and I am looking for a good, and inexpensive company that can do a simple 2 layer board for me. Any recommendations?

Disabling Keyboard input
Just popping in
Just popping in

I am working on a simple password screen for my 4.1 box. Using Hollywood for the interface (because I love it), but I want to see if there is something i can write that will disable all keyboard inputs. Including soft rebooting. The closest thing I can come to is to create and load a blank keymap file during boot, then inside of hollywood load the correct keymap once the password is entered correctly.

How can you enter a password without a keyboard? Well, I'm using a numerical phone layout for the password entry. So it needs no keyboard input. The blank keymap works great and doesnt allow you to close the holywood screen, but it still allows a soft reboot. Though I'm sure I can probably live with that.

Any ideas on a simple app that will completely ignore all keyboard inputs?

Thanks all!

@PEB

Thanks! I was trying Execute() as well and that seemed to work too.

Hollywood Designer question

I'm building a kiosk for my office and am planning on using Hollywood. It will be running on a Windows system(unfortunately). I know you can call external programs on the Amiga, but is that possible on Windows? I have a VB command line script I need to call inside of Hollywood.

Thanks all!

Everything is looking 100% on my system now. No more lines!

It also fixed an issue I had with my mouse. If I left it plugged in during boot it would screw with my resolution, I'd always have to plug it in after I booted up.

The quickfix appears to have fixed my 800Mz SAM Flex 1GB graphics corruption problems. I don't see the random small black dots in the display now. It's too early to tell what else may be improved.

Great! Cant wait to install it when I get back to the office.

Any positive feedback from flex users?

I had issues with my HD2400 with the Flex not recognizing it, but I am starting to think its the card with the problem. I have an X1300 on the way to help on that front.

It looks like beta testing has started already without the driver.

When I have everything set up, I'm going to try to keep discussions related to testing centralised on my website. This includes issues such as UBoot settings, etc. People who have applied to be a beta tester may wish to sign up to the forums there in preparation.

Registered. Thanks.

@Snuffy
As far as my UBoot settings go, there is no AGP option. I wouldnt think there would be as there are no AGP slots or onboard video on the Flex.

I have no idea what that means? It's not recommended to have both AGP& PCI cards installed.

I dont have any AGP cards, both are PCI. Maybe I'm missing something here.

This is my first time with a OS4.x machine, I have always been a classic amiga user and I missed the boat on the Pegs and A1s years ago, so forgive my ignorance. So I havent set any video options in the bios as I assume both cards are PCI.

Got the card in today, and no luck in my Sam-Flex 800MHz.

-Alone in the 66MHz or 33MHz PCI slot:
System would boot, and by the HDD activity I assume it hit OS4. No video throughout the boot process.

-Paired with the 9250:
System would not boot at all. No HDD activity, no video.

I have confirmed that the card works on a regular PC.

Mine looks like it will be coming in tomorrow. Hopefully it will work on the sam-flex. I'll sign up for the beta testing tonight.
