Re: Update on OGR-25 Emergency
Just can't stay away
Just can't stay away

@Futaura

My client is running whenever my AmigaOne is turned on.

Today, it has been lit all the day long. It seems larger packets are now send to clients.

It's sad that with all the Sam and AmigaOne out there, very few people join us

@sundown

Great, welcome amongst us

For information, my G3/800 (750Fx) does 8,8 Mn/s, I wonder if the 750GX will perform better.

How to configure your client:

@porthan

It's not really on topic.

Back on the topic, will the acggbg proxy be updated in order to work with OGR-26 ?

Re: Special review of the Colmar show
Just can't stay away
Just can't stay away

@Mikey_C

Well, since it was a French show, since Elwood is French and French community brought him a lot of support, I would have prefered his review to be in French first before in English.

I would have find this more correct for French Amigans.

What's more, not all the French Amigans can read English.

Don't get me wrong, I'm very glad to see a report of the Colmar Expo, it's the way it is done that disturbs me.

Anyway, Colmar was a great show, too bas I could not attend it.

@Elwood

Too bad you wrote this in English instead of French first.

(Unless the French version is reserved for Amiga Power).

Re: OS 4.0 Update

@caver99

Amiga OS 4 Final can be installed without any prior installtion and then you update with the July Update.

The same goes for Amiga OS 4.1, it is a standalone OS which can be installed without any prior installtion of AmigaOS.

Re: Playing YouTube videos on 68k

@Amigamancer

On an AmigaOne G3 800, MPlayer cannot read Hi Res FLVs (640x480) at full speed (far from it, to be honest), I have to convert them into AVI thanks to FFMpeg and use DvPlayer.

I cannot imaghine how slow it would be on a 68060 (again, for the high quality ones).

@Kreciu

Are you kidding ?
The Sam440 mobos are sold by every Amiga reseller, many Amigans are already using Sam440 with AmigaOS 4.1 and at the end of this week, many will receive their order (Sam440 + OS 4.1).

Cobra: Personnally, I'd rather go for FLV and MOV support instead of DVD menus

Did you read (and do) what Hans wrote:

The audio codec needs to be downloaded separately from avcodec. Download a52_codec.lha and dca_codec.lha.

Put the files in Libs:avcodecs

I totally agree with you. If the upgrade went wrong, it's better to make a clean install (after having backed up your old system of course)

PS: by the way, why don't speak of all this on our French amiga OS 4 site (this woul avoid the misunderstood sentences ).

Re: DVPlayer? Any Good?

@All

If there is one video player to get on AmigaOS 4.x, it IS DvPlayer.

Fast (very), robust, capable of reading many formtas (only MOV and FLV are really the ones missins at the moment, and streaming too).

Stephen answers quickly when there is a trouble and is very kind.

What's more, its cost is far from high.

Don't hesitate, I could not live without it now
