Do you have on your kickstart (drawer) or kicklayout (file in kickstart drawer) a file called 'BootDevice'?

It is just a text file.

If you want some other device than that with the highest boot priority
to be the default boot device for a given KickLayout file, add an entry
like

But take care if you create/delete it it can make your system not bootable (not loading kickstart modules).

Downloaded glquake from os4depot and here works fine (A1-XE with "old" ATI radeon7000 64MB, composition ON)

Just try to delete/backup:
id1/config.cfg
id1/glquake/

Those file and drawer are auto-created if they don't exists when starting glquake.
when starting without them for a couple of seconds I get a grey screen, then it shows normal quake screen/options.

And maybe try a higher stack (start with 1.000.000) from Shell/CLI.

I tested few days ago Quake3 & openArena (os4depot) and worked fine.

Which VGA do you have?

You can create a new bootable partition (ex. DH01:) and make a fresh/clean OS4.1 installation. Then only changing boot partition priority (mediatoolbox) higher than your default SYS:/DH0: will boot it and so can check if some programs work or don't due to 3rd party libs/soft.

Dl-ed and tried RC2 her on my A1-XE 512MB ram and no problems with a clean AOS4upd4 instalation. Pages appear after a couple of seconds (no minutes).

Seems fine here. Try with a clean AOS4upd4 installation.

Use a null modem cable (or 3 wires) attach to COM1 on the A1-XE set uboot
baudrate variable to 115200 and os4_commandline=debuglevel=4
The other side plug it to an A1200 or PC use/dl a terminal program (NComm or XP's terminal) configure it as 8N1 115200 baudrate
If you see garbage chars on terminal program try to lower the baudrate (in uboot and terminal program)

Hre trying to visit an URL (www.amigans.net) and it stays in a loop forever!!!
Seems doesn't translate/get the DNS/URL/or_whaterver_is_called properly here.
I can't broser the internet with TWbeta4 (using AOS4.1upd4).
The same URL with MUIowb works fine.

Will check it further

EDIT: now works, seems one of the prefs/OPTIONS I chnage make some weird effect on browsing the web. Stay tuned

Or if you want to "hand write" your monitor settings, go to DEVS:monitors/radeon icon and edit/change VSYNCMIN VSYNMAX HSYNCMIN HSYNCMAX to fit your monitor's settings.

Are you sure AOS4 is loading kickstart from CD?
If you use OS4 CD it should show you the Workbench and then install/welcome window to partition/format/install to your HDD.
Maybe you can check the uboot vars.
Or system is loading from other (hidden) partition/volume in your HDD.

I used it quite a lot, but since an OS4 update it started to run weird.
So looked for an alternative and found Zaphod (os4depot, sources in AMINET), it has some bugs, but Zaphod works fine. I even tried to compile/fix, but as I'm not a programmer, didn't progress

If AZap can be recompiled/fixed would be fine.

Can you point as which FLV file are? Normally I use CLipDonw to dl youtube and such file, mostly in FLV format and had no problems viewing them.

Maybe you can start with "easy" DefIcon definition for flv files, like only:
PATTERN #?.flv

Is the path in the def_flv icon right? (APPDIR:mplayer or something alike)

Can you tell us what demo/file are you trying to execute?

I have an 9200SE and Warp3D/miniGL programs work fine. My computer is an A1-XE.

For Warp3D you need W3D_R200.library in DH0:Libs/Warp3D/HWdrivers
