AmigaOS 4.1 on WinUAE

Hi All, I'm working on getting OS 4.1 running on my PC laptop. Using the great information on Tom's Homepage I have an install to the point that it boots reliably. I have the UAEGFX setup so the display is high res and high color. Where I'm having problems is getting the networking going. I've had both the x-surf-100 and the A2025 initalized to the point the OS was getting an IP. At that point I was able to ping the WinUAE gateway but not the DNS IP's. Anyone here have Networking working with OS 4 on WniUAE? Thanks! Bill "tekmage" Borsari

Shame! It's great technology and I use it every day.
Have you emailed him directly? May he could send you a key or create a build that does not require it.

@broadblues
Fantastic work, Andy!
I needed to get a tablet for my son's school. He is entering the first grade and writing is a big part of it. I used that as an excuse to get the XP-PEN Deco 01 v2.
I downloaded, installed the driver, and plugged it in. Works like a champ. The driver UI is simple and nice to have but I did not need to tune anything.
I have Sketchblock 3.4 pro installed. The tilt function is working well. It's amazing how many controls you have built into Sketchblock and how well they work with the tablet.
One comment, can you build a version with the tilt coordinates debug disabled?
Overall, 5 stars and donation sent!

35 years in and she has not aged a day!
2020 was going to be an epic year for Amiga events but the silly virus put all that onhold. I can promise will we have an Amiga 35th+1 (or 2) event in the US once this thing is solved.
Take care all and I hope you had a chance to use your Amiga today.

Welcome! Glad to see another OS4 user. This is a bad year for Amiga shows but maybe next year (or 2022 for sure), hope to see you at Amiwest!

Can you give html5test.com a try? I check each beta against that site and check the score, typically 319. I tried with beta6 and the page did not render.
Not sure if it's just me of something that changed.

@Chris
Thank you for that WebP datatype. Amazing how the Amiga browsing can hang in there with little additions like that.
Right now DCRAW is GPL as a stand alone executable. Not sure what it would take to build it in to a library. My wish list would be to have an "auto" mode which all the various RAW knobs are set to default and an "adjust" mode which would popup a GUI to let people control the knobs. Take a look at UFRAW for AmiCygnix to see how extensive that could be.
Even just a DT that loaded the raw with full defaults would be a huge win.

@Thematic
the dcraw tool has a built in detection routine:
dcraw -i DSC_2919.NEF DSC_2919.NEF is a Nikon D500 image.
Worst case it would be by extention, best case the file can be examined.

Pandmic AmigaOS 4 software request - DCRAW based datatype

Hello Amigans, Over the last few years, I've been thinking about creating a datatype to be able to load camera RAW images based on the DCRAW CLI tool on OS4depot. Sadly I lack the skill, and I've not found a sufficiently basic datatype creation tutorial to allow someone with my meger C skills to get it done. Since billions of people are trapped at home perhaps one of them is an AmigaOS 4 developer who would want to take this on? Thanks! Bill "tekmage" Borsari

Hey Ami603,
It only supports the smb v1 protocol. I'm running Ubuntu 18 on my home NAS and I needed to add this to the [global] section of smb.conf: ntlm auth = ntlmv1-permitted
With that in place it works.
SMB v3 support would be very nice :)

Hi All, I noticed there are no issues raised on the github page. How do you want to track bugs? I've been using Odyssey for many years but have not been posting the crashlogs anyplace. Does it make sense to start to create issues for items like that? Also, big thank you for working on this project! I know I speak for a lot of OS4 users who are existed to see this development continue! Cheers, BIll "tekmage" Borsari Join me in Silicon Valley June 6th and 7th for www.amiga35.us!

@salass00
Great work on v1.4. Feels much faster scrolling text.
I did a "ls -R *" in a big directory and the performance was good, 100% cpu use. During that I was not able to break out with ctrl-c but ctrl-c registered after the listing was complete.
I do have an issue with "vi" in edit mode where the arrow keys are producting A, B, C, D. It's clearly a mapping issue. Not sure if I can solve that via a term settings or what.
Thanks! Bill
