May I ask for a bit explanation for the following error message?

I've just added an OWB3.9 bug to the bug site as you can see below. Please try it to see if it is common issue.

When you type in form text input fields, horribly memory is allocating. One keypress is approx 0.5 MB!

You may use a real host name instead of an ip address in the env variable.

Try to call

setenv lpr.device save HOST printer RAW

Then add a printer host name with prefs/internet.
This way you can change ip address of the printer via preferences and not needed to touch the env variable if the printer's config will change.

I haven't tried it yet, but I think you don't need to be a programmer for such things.

There is some tools that can capture HID events and can play it back. I have a very very old one and it works on OS4 too (except for mui windows), but AFAIK there is others on Aminet.
So you can capture mouse movement and keyboard input and can play it back even on another computer.
The main obstacle is that there is no identical systems. To create the same environment as on the recorder computer you may use YetAnotherDesk.
So I think it is possible to create tutorials that can plays back on any computers (I mean OS4 machines) which needs much smaller footprint than any video codec can create.

It is just an idea. I cannot give you any proof of reliability, but you could try it if you have more time than I have.

There was a problem for me with all prior versions when started after PageStream 68k. It crashed on start.
The 2.17 version (maybe all 2.14+) solved this which is great because I don't have to keep in mind the starting order of my crucial softwares.

Hi!

I have just attached a CF to IDE adapter to my DataFlyer IDE card on an A2000. Installed a new partition under KS1.3.

I had hoped that I can access that CF card in my A1 with an USB card reader, but it doesn't work.

I can select fs manually for the card with USB MassStorages prefs, but it seems that OFS is missing from the options?

So, is there any possibility to access OFS partitions in OS4?

To describe the reasons I am setting up a 20 years old machine with 20 years old softwares for an upcoming event.

Yeah, It is nice indeed, but makes OWB eat 75% of the CPU time. That is not perfectly nice.

Here is a Logitech Dual Action - like a USB PS2 - joypad which did not work under 4.0.
This time on OS4.1 it is working. This is the good news.
The bad one is that two joypads don't work simultaneously even if two different types are used.
I have tested VICE 1.22 and FPSE and neither of them works with two configured joypads.

Is the AmigaInput API changed since that programs compiled or it is just an AI bug?

Another interesting thing about AmigaInput.

I bought two identical cheap USB joypads to use for multiplayer games.
It looks like AI handle devices by the name of the device.
The AI prefs correctly lists two joypads with the same name and only that one works which is connected first.

I am very disappointed in that. This component was one of the much needed improvement of the 4.1 for me.

It is bad news for me. My copy of OS4.1 is on the way, but I did not even dreamed that PGS will have more problems than it has currently.

When I asked Deron about some fix to the 4.1.5.6., he stated that it don't worth the time.

Please say that I'm wrong, but the current PGS5 is unusable for real work as I saw when it is started.

Did you tried to blacklist PGS in Prefs/Compatibility?

One of my partner recently changed his online ordering system and it is forced me to retire IBrowse for some tasks.
Furtunately OWB works great with the new design so I am not forced to use other machine. :)
