Hmm, thought i'd read a save and reboot worked.
Just tried changing to low in power prefs and selecting low.
The changed back to high power and selecting use and then save.
Ran the test again -

If memory serves, I think I was getting a higher score with a Radeon HD7770.
I think it was around two thousand higher but can't be sure.

Interesting, I hadn't seen that.
I suppose the answer is not to set the graphics card to full power unless it's needed.

Maybe an issue if it is needed for any length of time.
Unfortunately I've got nothing to test the temp in my setup.

I'd seem that Yeston RX550 version worked for you so thought it was worth a gamble on the RX560.
Not very scientific I know.

As well as taking advantage of the video acceleration, it's a single slot unlike the the Radeon HD7770 I was using previously, uses less power and is quieter

The clips play, there is just no audio to go with the video.
it seems to be just flv files but not all of them.
I haven't got an RX card but can't see what difference the VA library would make to that.

I’ve had a quick look.
The clips not working have been downloaded from streaming sites like YouTube.
In any case I think they are an issue with Emotion as plenty of other clips downloaded from streaming sites work with it.
