@mbrantley Try something like newshell "con:x_pos/y_pos/width/height/" There are other options so don't know how many slashes must be at the end. This thread may be useful for what you need.

@mbrantley
For the size and position of the shell window you can specify what you like in the tooltypes of the Shell icon. There is a line with something like: x_pos/y_pos/width/height/windows title and some other option there.
The shell font can be set in the Fonts prefs program. Sorry, I don't have a working AmigaOS setup right now so can't be more specific.

@ChrisH Quote: ChrisH wrote: I think one problem with your suggestion is that the LLVM "intermediate code" might be CPU independant, but it won't be OS independant!
Ah, I see. That would be a problem. But in our case, gnash or lightspark (trying to stay on topic ) developer would be aiming at AOS4/PPC so that wouldn't be a problem. And that way, the best executable could be created for A1(G3/G4), SAM(440/460) and X1000. Just like the old days!

@Samurai_Crow
I've been reading a little about LLVM and would like to know if I had undertand correctly.
With LLVM a developer, instead of releasing an executable, can release an intermediate code (or form or object) so the users can download it, and provided they have LLVM installed, the first time they "run" the program LLVM will finish compilation, providing the best executable for the machine type (combination of GFX and CPU for example). So the final executable would be different depending of your setup. Is that correct?

@Hans Quote: This is why Firefox asks you if you want to restore your pages after a crash. But that is supported by Firefox itself, right? I mean, tabs are restored when I close and open Firefox again, no matter if it crashed. So in this case, OWB has to support that. It is right that the OS keep track of every tab/window opened by the applications or would it be better to keep track of what it is running and then each application keeps track of its tabs/windows?

Yeah, I know. Really nice "simple" and original game. I like to connect my 21" CRT screen to play it.

@saimo I really don't have a clue. But had found 2 errors in spanish translation. Both "l?mite" and "aqu?" must be accented. "autom?tico" is also accented. Regards

@MichaelMerkel
That seems a good idea. Maybe an option in GR to send a report, that launches that tool and fills in the blanks: kickstart version, some libraries versions, gfx card model, cpu, free memory, maybe exchange can be used to list commodities running in the background, attach a crashlog, and send the report to a "repository".
Also, after a crash, the OS could start with a message like: "Your system has come back from a crash. Would you like to report it?" If it is possible that, of course.

Oh, so that is a port you are working on. Great! More software is always welcome. And QT would open more ports for AmiCygnix. Hope you are able to finally do an AOS QT native port.

Could it be Netsurf? I think there is a port for AmiCygnix also.
Edit: Yes, the AmiCygnix tool package has a version of Netsurf so it could be that one.

I agree. An upgrade to a SAM Flex 733MHz will be cool. If/when I have some "spare" money and the SE can be fixed then I'll surely do it.

And do you think possible also capture the video output of the classic Amiga that way and have it in a window or own screen of the X1000. Or maybe plugging it to the capture port of a graphics card in the X1000?

@Antique
I tested the RAM before installing AOS4.0 again, but who knows... It was stored almost 3 years.
I think better target a SAM Flex first. If things go well then an X1000 (or maybe an X1200?)
