Re: Open URL 7.12 problems

I installed OpenUrl 7.12 lately can't get it to do more than tell me that it can't launch the Browser.

I tried wiht MUIOWB (following a previous thread on this here) and then with IBrowse.
Here i did put IBrowse on the first line in the browser prefs page, and corrected the path.
I tested with IBrowse allready open or not.
I tested also from the shell
>>Openurl "http://www.amigans.net"

Is 7.12 working for you ?

I have OpenURL version 7.12 installed here on my SAM460 and all works well!

Maybe you need to have a close look at your OpenURL Prefs, maybe something is set up wrong?

Is there a space between the quotation marks? It doesn't work with an empty string.

There is now but has made no difference, really want this fixed.

Thanks to KL, I find my problem with Gimp Standalone script
I have just removed the PROGARGS value

;Set PROGARGS "--geometry=${DEF_WINWIDTH}x${DEF_WINHEIGHT}+0+0"
Set PROGARGS " "

Strange, before it worked and it works like that for AbiWord (presently).

At least, all is working now !!!

AmiUpdate broken! [SOLVED - download the new update!]

I ran AmiUpdate this morning and it updated itself and many other files all okay, it popped up a requester (can't remember what it said) that I did an assign to Ram: and it all updated okay, it included a new Kernel for my SAM460 and many other files.

Maching did a hard re-boot and booted all okay but now whenever I try to run AmiUpdate I get a GrimReaper and if I click on ignore 'Ignore DSI errors' the system just locks up and I have to do a harware reset, so I can no longer run AmiUpdate, anyone else experiencing this?

What do you mean by Vignette?

If you mean create a soft border round a photo image etc. Then you could do that with the fill boxes script in the wedges menu.

Create a new layer.

Choose a soft brush and stroke the box but dont fill it. Then fill outside the borders with the paint tool. Apply the gaussian blur from the convolve menu a few times, if you need to soften further.

Yes that's the sort of thing I meant. For example image results in being oval shaped fading to white (or whatever background colour), it's quite often seen in old style photos if you get what I mean? It was so easy to do in Photogenics as you just selected the tool and set the area and size to apply, sorry if I'm not explaining this very well!

Thanks again for your fabulous software, is there a Vignette option or one planned? I love this feature in Photogenics and would be nice to have it in SketchBlock too

OpenURL Prefs problem SORTED
Not too shy to talk
Not too shy to talk

I am having problems with OpenURL prefs, whenever I click on a lin within an e-mail or on an app in AmiPad, MUIOWB gets launched but always goes to Amigaworld website! This page is the default start page but OpenURL prefs should take it to where the e-mail or whatever is telling it to go.

My OpenURL prefs are as follows:

Name: MUIOWB
Path: Work:Internet/muiowb/owb
ARexx port: OWB

Show: SHOW
To front: SCREENTOFRONT
OpenURL: OPEN NAME= "%u"
New window: OPEN NAME="%u" NEWPAGE

Can anyone see if anything is wrong and why idt doesn't open with correct page?
