@MamePPCA1 Imho there is point about modern games. All games on which you point in last post for sure are nice one, good one, and fun to play, but still they old. Gamers (even on amiga) want modern and new games. It's good to have possibility to play in old ones, but how long you want to play in the same games ?:)

@Mrodfr
Yep, it slow :) But as i say before GUI colors it's just handmade images which you can draw yourself (in main directory of programm icons16.png, icons32.png, gui.png).For example you (or anyone else) can even put here AISS icons (with a bit smaller size). I just not do it myself because programm are very alpha for now :)
Dunno why author choice that theme, maybe because he initially do all the works on unix (dunno). But there is also win32 port present (with the same not so good looking gui/menus).
Speed must be better 100%, not like now. Maybe later it will be improved ..

Check pm about your smart "period" words. Looks like you just not understand what i write. For me (and for users)does not matter what standart and what is not. But i really in unterest answer to you on your smart-1,2,3-period manner.

@xenic Quote: As cha05e90 pointed out, the OS4 icons are not PNG
I know. And still, many programms, games and alt use PNG icons and png module/library at all. Quote: You say that in serious way ? If so, then you just not tryes all latest games/apps which was released. Quote: and they can easily be converted to standard OS4 icons anyway
Brrr... For what ? Do you like to do that jerky-routine work ?:) I am not (and many other users too of course). My point is: in reality, today, many programms (games, system apps, does not matter what) use PNG icons. More of it: some programms use that png/alpha lib/module (hollywood, png icon editor, some clock programm and many others, not "few"). So, for make users happy, and not bring for them any problems with all of this will be cool to include png handlers (i mean handlers) by default (i mean include by default to OS only handlers, not make png icons as default) for the OS. But that all imho.

@cha05e90
Not default but used all the time and everythere in many apps/progs/games and alt. Saying at this point what is "default" and what is not, make no sense, because users offten have problems with it. If users have problems with it all the time (that is not only about that topic, you can found more by search, and all related "why png icons not works for me", "cant run that and that because of png alpha blabla" ), then need to make it more user friendly and include handler by default to the OS. You dont agree with that ?
All in all i say that png icons use too often, and not png icons are default in the OS, but handler for png icons must be by default in the OS, just becase png icons today are always. Users not want any boring with. They just want install it fresh, download any game/app, and it works.

@all Still i think that Hyperion should include png module in their default distrib. Or , if there is some "copyright" problem, write new one. Because aos4 use png icons all the time, but, not have default handler in the os for png icons today are strange and unlogical (imho).

I like very much UB as it, just because design are clean and so on. And imho, if compare with any other amiga related sites, the other ones will be badly than UB. Just because almost all amigans have no expirience with design, www code and alt.
UB here looks professional already, but, that problems with mailware already annoy very well. I say to Nicomen i think 2-3 weeks ago, that UB again infected, but, looks like he or not have time, or do not know how, or just not have interest to fix that problem.
@nicomen Common, fix that crappy mailware problems :) UB is not only "current" developer site, but it also have big database of interesting topics, which we will never found anymore if UB will die.

@mr2 edit: imho just some kind of bad installation. For me all of this works. You can try to use snoopdos, to see where programms tryes to find the libs (libs: or progdir:)

@Chris There is also port of GraphX for all amiga-like, but imho it suck very much. @all there is. Not direct link (some ugly free file hosting, but works. Download link will be at bottom of page) Known bugs: slow and crash on exit. Other ones feel free to report here. @freddix If everything will going as planned, then, pretty offten will be updates (as i can see on sourceforge, author add new code every day for now). @Antique Yep, AISS are must. Right now it looks (menu and buttons) a bit ugly for me. Just like old win3.1.. But in general, everyone can create now "os4 like" theme for it. In the programm directory anyone can found files: gui.png icons16.png icons32.png That all about buttons for gui (mean simply redrawing of images will works).

@Sinan Yep, will upload that today (not at home right now)
@Templario SDL here are must, because programm based on it at all. Speaking about "slow" stuff related to SDL, it's basically not problem of SDL itself (our realisation of SDL on aos4 more or less fast), it's problem of un optimising code which done initially on fast PCs (and coders just not detect these problems). If author will in interest to work together, then, it will be faster (but that not problem of SDL, just some side-back effect of it :) )
@cha05e90 I think about the same exactly :) If i will have "good contact" with author , then i can commit aos4 specific code to.

@Hans
Can you somehow traced it, or, maybe just add to aos4 bugs database that with attached my example, so, Rogue (or who fix w3d bugs) can easyly check and reproduce it.

Follow to that thread on aros-exec, i found that Yannick port LodePaint to AROS, and, i build aos4 version from that sources with a very small changes (makefile, and 2 little problems in sources related to aos4 itself). That programm use SDL and OpenGL for rendering, and it of course not fast just because it's developing on modern PC's, and optimisation make no big sense here with all those powerfull gfx cards and many ghz of cpus (maybe at this point, later maybe it will be better as usuall). So, it's pretty slow for now (but still usable). Even on AROS with hardware acceleration it's a bit slow now.

@ChrisH I know how its boring to found bugs (if there is code bug) in code done not by yourself :) But hope AmiDog or Hans can just make it works => it can be used as example for all the others later.

@Hans Yep, i use in code: Quote: #define LARGE 640 #define HIGH 480 W3D_Scissor scissor = {0,0,LARGE,HIGH};
Then after creating of warp3d context i set necessary state for: Quote: W3D_SetState(context, W3D_SCISSOR, W3D_ENABLE); /* clip to screen size */
And then, in SwitchDisplayW3D() function: Quote: W3D_SetDrawRegion(context,bm,0,&scissor);
