Yeah ! I put SA_LikeWorkbench, TRUE, to the new mode fucntions, and to the cloning function, and it works as should.

Also WA_PubScreenName, "AmiFIG" stuff in win_zoom did the trick, and zoom window works well too ! Nice !

Yep, Thomas are right.

For example when i "close" by commoditie dopus4, it ask "want you quit from dopus?". I.e. it not hardcore closing of window, it just the same action, which happenes when user press close gadget on any window of any programm.

Thanks ! Yannick fix it in SVN already, i will try to build new version later to see if it works.

Maybe have any ideas about "how spawn custom screen with all current os4 decorations" ? For example, even if you not choice any screenmode, but pressing on "use custom screen", you will have a window with words "mode was not defined, so, lets clone WB screen". And that cloning also loose "theme".

Did you have requtools.library ? (it uses for text typing). And also of course better to have aos4.1 update 2 (to avoid any problems with system itself).

Abount AA, i not tested it deeply, but you right, for now i also have freeze when AA is enabled.

Yep, the same for me. Strange that it works for Xenic (or maybe he missunderstood window-zoom with zooming at all).

A bit annoing .. If othder programm spawn a custom screen without any user-action in prefs/screen, and spawns with all the stuff, then it possible by code to do it as well .. I just think that maybe you know how to open that "os4 native screen" by the code :)

I think it will annoy os4depot admins already (to reupload 3 times in 10 minuts the same archive :) ). Better to collect stuff now for the next version (where i will add mouse wheel support and alt). Maybe also Xenic will help us to solve these 2 problems with zoom window and loosing decorations on custom screen.

ps. i sended new italian catalog to Yannick by mail for now.

Yep, plz not delete the file (to allow Yannick get it). About icon for main folder, why not, i will include it for next os4releases.

Right now i trying to add mouse-whell support ot amifig (on os4 its different , and not like on aros/os3). Good that i do it before and it will be easy for now (i hope)

I personally never have any "grey screen problems" (because i have pegasos2), but as far as i remember, all those "grey screen" problems was fixed year ago.

Maybe you have old minigl.library (on os4depot more or less new one) ? Or maybe when you update your os, you forget to copy Warp3d drivers/libs/etc ?

Bug is found (thank to gazelle), it was because i not clear the allocated memory. Before it was:

IE=AllocMem(sizeof(*IE),MEMF_SHARED);

And it have such strange bug. But now it have:

IE=AllocMem(sizeof(*IE),MEMF_SHARED|MEMF_CLEAR);

And all works as should.

New version on os4depot (remember, the most of work done by Yannick, and now also xenic help pretty much for us as you can see in previous posts).

New since last one:

-- Locales should works fine now (english, italian and french)
-- Text and font handling should works fine for now on os4 (default sets, its fonts from os4.1 update 1 distrib, so if you use old OS or other fonts, you need to setup it manually in font prefs. But as far as i remember fonts was not changed in os4 distribs since long time, so, all should works fine for everyone).
-- fixed bad copy/paste
-- 32 user colors are now accessible and editable through RGB sliders
-- User colors are now saved (only if actually used in the figure) and merging files correctly reassigns and reallocate user colors.
-- Speed improvment in Antialised display
-- Better handling of "not configured" import and export functions (now you will have relative error windowses, if you not configure all of this properly)
-- New svg2fig command line utility (Converts SVG files (SVG Tiny) to FIG files).
-- Fixing problems with unlock files on os4 (by xenic)
-- new english.guide (still, for the old version, with old information, but anyway) (by xenic also)
-- new script for make printing works (also by xenic).

And some more fixes and addions. Everything done by Yannick and by Xenic for this release, i only change few mistakes in code, few typos, few default settings and compiles svg2fig utility (tested, and for me works fine on .svg example from the relative directory).

I prepare for now archive (in which i also add few of my fixes) and will send it to Yannick right now (all the changes are in that new released version already).

For now i see 2 problems related to aos4:

1. For public screen Zoom window do not works. It works before (if i remember right in some old revisions, but not right now). Dunno why it happenes, but maybe you can invistigate where is problem ?

2. For the custom screen, AmiFIg loose all the decorations. I.e. for example i use SilverGreen theme, and while i use AmiFig on public screen, it works fine (with all those nice menus and top bars from theme), but i i choice to use AmiFig on custom screen, then it start to be like old, aos3 looks. Looks like something wrong with initialising of screen at all. Maybe you also can found why it like that, and how to make it works as should (with all that themes setup as all other apps on os4 do).

Check plz all that locale stuff. Did it have your latest catalog ? (i cant access to your archive for now). Dunno if Yannick was lucky with it :)

Tested. Can say that is pretty good for begining. Simply and nice interface. Still not very usably maybe, but very promising (if you will have enough motivation and time to mature it).

I tryed also to load "heavy" programms, not just hellow word or db101 bins, and i tryed : AmiFig, Lodepaint (heavy one really), one opengl demo (Arte Dominium) and Quake3. All apps runs over debugger nicely. That is really big + for you for the first version. For me it personally show that your project are really promising.

Few thinks for your (maybe) todo list:

engine ones:

-- give user a solution to set breakpoint not only on symbols, but also on any address of user-space where is programm will be runs (and not only on address of user-space, but on any address at all. Because we not have so much memory protection and alt, debugger can read any area).

-- give user a possibility to disassemble any area of the programm (of any range), even, if no crash are occurs (that very handy stuff in GDB, which give you freedome to watch the memory while programm working, wath some register states, and just disassemble any C functions to asm, when you work on some high-level stuff).

In general i think we need to found all the "plus" sides of GDB, and put it to your debugger (if you will want to do it of course:) )

interface ones:

-- remember (while debugger are running, or also when it will quit/start) a last directory which was visited. I.e. when user press "select file", then it spawn a last visited directory for.

But i relly enjoy that someone start such project. That is VERY COOL ! When project will mature enough, Rigo can add it to his CodeBench. I always was in high interest about debuggin not only on aos4, but in general. And having ability to browse the programm not from code, but "in deep" it always interesting. That can help to found many bugs, even if GR will not catch them.

For example, those MemGuard bugs, with additions with breakpoints on any addresses, can help to monitor where exactly in programm bug start to happenes, and by dissasble understand why.

Also maybe you need to add that project to openamiga /amigabounty. For sure such effort should be payed, or maybe more coders will in interest to works with you on it.

If problem still is not solved, then maybe we can help you to solve that .. What exactly is problem for now ? They say "wait for something" or what ? Maybe better will be transfer all the money for now from that locking on recv. account to bank account (just to be sure, that money will be safe), and setup another paypal account and forget about that one ?

That is problem of old warp3d drivers, which was fixed already in the newer updates of OS. Looks like you use or plain os4, or aos4.1 without updates (there was 2 more updates for).

That cool ! Cant try it for now, but maybe you can briefly explain what it can do for now, and what it will to do ?:) It will be the debugger with all those breakpoints and alt, or it also will have some disassemble function , or maybe little hex viewer ?:) (like in GDB). Will it be "console" debugger like gdb, or it will have any kind of gui ?

Anyway, that pretty interesting that someone start to work on such project. Nice !
