@bean
IMO real plugins are better. Direct support is always better and must be a hell of alot easier to find bugs with. Or atleast fixing bugs when found.

@SZAMAN
SFS/2 has 1TB limit with 512byte block size and 64TB with 32Kb block size.
Joerg mentioned something about AmiDVD when he said it supports 4GB file size. Can't remember if he meant with just that program or even if that was the file size limit. If its 64bit it should support way larger files than 4GB.
But he could have set a limit because of limitations in the filesystem. The old SFS 2 filesystem supported larger than 100GB files if I'm not mistaken.

Isn't there a possibility to have Spirantho get hold of the latest OS4 beta and SDK? Rogue? IMHO it's kind of stupid to "hinder" important software development on this small platform. We need all drivers and software we can get ASAP.

@Elwood
I hope this project is supported by Hyperion and the OS4 team? Otherwise it's not much use IMO. This kind of documentation is really important and should be official.

@joerg
Thanks for your continued support.
So I guess this means you have merged SFS and SFS2 into one file system now? I mean with only changing the type to switch from small to large file support.
Is the large file support still to be considered exprimental and prone to changes or is it safe to format the partions with the new type?

@rachy Quote: Actually, warm reboot on my system takes about 4 secs.
Is that including all apps in WBStartup, or only until Workbench starts? I have my ?A1-C very optimized but can't get near 4 seconds. My boot time is about 7-9 seconds last time I checked.

Why?
I can't think of a single useful app that would need this that hasn't already got a native update or works with Petunia.
Yes a couple of games.. But is it really worth it?

@Hans Yes, I'd very much like to have a ReAction standard OS4 look to the window frames atleast, ideally the gadgets and buttons also. Also having all the cygnix apps open up directly in Workbench instead of on its own screen would be perfect. Nice to see AbiWord working! Next Firefox?

I have a ?A1-C with a 750GX aswell and have never experienced any problems with internet. Other than very slow throughput uptil upd4.
I have My PC and ?A1-C connected to a wireless router (with the wireless part unused at the moment). It's a Netgear WGT624 v2 with the latest firmware 4.2.11. It has always worked great, no problems whatsoever.

@tonyw Yes, three valid reasons. @Toaks, afxgroup My question was not an attack at Mr Drummond. I simply remember him posting on AW that the dynamic SDL library was almost finished a while back. Therefore just wondered what happened to the release. I know very well that he does the OS4 work on his spare time. As most developers. @ssolie That's true. I will see what I can do about donating some money later this month.

So what happened to the dynamic library version Mr Drummond was supposed to release "soon" some months back? Problems? No time to develop?

@BeSilly I have the CyberStorm 060 MK3 50MHz which runs quite cool. It doesn't have any active or inactive cooling system. It's actually the SCSI chip that has heat problems on this card. Maybe a upgrade to 060 might be in order? Especially if your machine is being run in a warm room/place.

I don't think CAB and exe are packed the same. I think the best way is to get these files is from Windows. Easiest anyway.
