@zzd10h Hi, hmm.. it is correct that we didn't set the mime type on the files yet. The idea of the picture urls is to embed them into websites or Forums..
like this (this is your link):
Since you are embedding them with html tags mime type doesn't matter.
Can you see it on OWB? I am checking why Safari, Chrome, IE and other browser can show it and other not.. Anyway I will add "setting" correct mime-tipe to our todo list
EDIT: I've added this request to our todo list for the web programmer now..
Modern browser have a mime-check 1. At first they check the server sended info 2. Than suffix 3. Than file headers
Maybe OWB does 1 and 2 but can't do step 3.

www.amicloud.de points still to a placeholder... a real website is coming next year : )
It is available from the indieGO!-Appstore, later it will be available from a website as download as well.. but for activation you will need a indieGO!-ID and to "buy" it at least in the store.
Important note: Please read the readme. Especially if you wan't to close the log-window Please report any bug asap. For now I will grant only a limited number of users access. As soon the limit has been reached it will not be available anymore from the store until end of beta.
Every lucky person being part of beta users will get a bonus after it. Double space than non beta users.
We have tested it (it is beta3 already) and with luck it will just work as it should.
Because some people struggle to understand the App Store here is a short how to buy it : )
Important to understand is that the downloads are not downloaded inside the App Store client but in an extra app called DLM (download manager) This app "should" start after logIN. If it doesn't start, than run the dlm app manually.
When you click "download" inside the App Store client, it will change to "downloading". Than check the DLM. Your downloads will be added to the queue.
During download you can click inside the App Store on close and check other apps.
If you close the App Store it will ask if the DLM should stay open or if it should be closed as well.
During the beta I plan to offer only a limited number of users per platform Access.
The idea is to concentrate on testing on different configurations and to be able to respond to user requests..
Eveyone participating in beta will become the double amount of Basic storage size after beta.
So in case we start with 1GB Basic storage / betatester get 2GB
in case we start with 2GB Basic / testers get 4GB
In case we raise the Basic size at any Point (likely every year by factor 1.5) beta testers get the double size.
During beta it will be 1GB. You can backup files, sync Computers running amicloud and share documents via public URL's you can send to friends or embedd on Websites.
.... there is no Need to apply to the beta via email. It will work on a first Comes first base.
NEW: We added some more supported file types We fixed missing english translation in the Developer - UI And we brought back the "Suggest category button" which was gone by accident (as we rolled out the new ui design
Please check especially supported filetypes and that a price of 100 means 1€... this is important ; )
Ohh i forgot: Music, Movies and Magazines are "Platforms" by our definitions. So if you like to upload music choose "Music" as platform. This is important for future "3rd-party"/or own clients focused on music /magazines and movies. Also, while repeating my self, others can ask for accessing the server via our api. Means: You could do your own appstore client or enhance existing ones to make use of it as well. A thread with some infos is here: http://aros-exec.org/modules/newbb/vi ... t_id=90516#forumpost90516
If you like to have window decoration you can enable it in the global.prefs file with a text editor.
Beta Clients are now available for all target systems including: AROS AmigaOS MorphOS OSX Linux Windows
Please try, give critics and we will try to move into the right direction.
Rgistering is now possible from the client. So the "Enter the matrix" link is only needed for developers because the Dev-Interface works only in a browser. Developers can login online and click on "become a developer" After manual acceptance by us you can upload how much and whatever you like. Of course under rules of law. User have the possibility to report apps.
If you like to run it in a smaller window or maybe with boarders, please check the prefs folder.
If you delete global.config and rename global.config.bak to global.config, you will have it the way i showed it in the videos.
Global.config is editable in every text editor and you can define things like boarders, size and fx.
The first time a second window opens, please keep it open, it waits until you logged in the first time. The dlm exe is the downloadmanager. It is configurable for itself.
Because of SAM440 performance and in case you run your WB in 1080p you should use the global.config.bak (remove .bak) file and change the window size parameter to 0.5 or 0.65 (it is 0.85 by default) depending on your clock. I have only a ATI 9250 maybe the HD type of cards do better 2D acceleration.
me too. indieGO! -Appstore is for AROS, AmigaOS68k, AmigaOS4, MorphOS, Windows, Linux and OSX and of course indieGO!- devices such as the AmiQube.
I offer every party to join and made sure that the API is portable and everyone can participate from sales.
The shown client is our "reference" client made with Hollywood. Other parties could access the store with using a C program.
We will also build a web-interface in form of Steam or GOG, so people can browse files using a browser as well.
The idea is to give developers a unified target. Let's say you create a new SNES game. Via indieGO!-store Amiga users can buy and run it as well. The developer just creates one IGO-file for all targets.
I am not fighting against AmiStore. Both parties will use their shop to offer new software. Nothing bad.
On my mac i have AppStore (because it is part of the OS), Steam, GameTree and Desura. I can choose where to buy and sometimes they have exclusive deals.
The main goal are 800€ to pay some graphicdesign, additional server programming and some other tasks we can't do by ourselves. If we don't get the money together it does just mean that it will take a little bit longer to finalize it.
Maybe someone is also interested in the stretch goals...
Well and maybe ATIHD is better suited for 2D nowadays.
a "no fx"- option will solve any problem for low spec HW.
@Hans Am i correct when I assume that ATI HD driver performs better for 2D related stuff? I have a HD PCI card laying around but i didn't try it yet because of missing 3D
@Atheist You are free to use AMOS. We can put your stuff in containers which work on other platforms as well (emulated). Works with fullscreen software on any platform.
Here is the shown alpha unoptimized running on my SAM733.
@fingus No there is no HW Acceleration. Only on ANDROID you can force it by the OS.. but it doesn't help.
Because of this we switched for indieGO!-OS to something else which again doesn't work on AROS, AmigaOS and MorphOS.
In the video are fx on mass which could be deactivated. Simply as that. Apple simplifies as well.
There are textes rotating, bars flying in from left to right, a moving background, alpha, rounding of edges and more.. some not even really visible (but when you disable you see the difference: ) )
So i did a test on my SAM733. First! With transparency enabled i can not move any workbench window without stuttering above of 1024x768x32bit. This is normal "for me".
So we all now a SAM is slow. The alpha i tested is the same as shown in first video running on a Macbook. Same FX, nothing deactivated, no fullscreen. Same stuff.
I find it already "usable". With some FX reduced or disabled it will work instantly and i think in any resolution. I see no problem.
As it is "now" it would work slow. It will change. Problem solved : )
this one differs a bit and is as long in development as Amistore if not longer.
Difference: - Free hosting - It offers music, movies and magazines as well - It works on AROS, MorphOS, Mac OS X, Linux and classic AmigaOS and Raspberry Pi as well. - it offers software for more than 40 Platforms
It handles also updates and we will introduce a platform independent package system.
You can easily code once and reach all target platforms at once. This enlarges the potential market.
Jack store for example could be enhanced to access the Server as well. And distributions who will include the store will participate from revenues (as long they are positive : ) )
I gave the option to work together and still ofer it passively because of the 2 points above.
So as i see it there is no problem. Jack could include it. Amistore is just for AmigaOS 4.
yes Hollywood is "slow" but the video looks more worse than it is. The problem is really that i have updated my mac to 10.9 ... it was 10.5 originally.
10.6 was great.. this was the time i made all my Broadway and AEROS videos running in Virtualbox... since 10.8 i do no long videos anymore because it is slow and jerky. There is no option to reduce quality.. it is alway at max. Which is too much for my machine.
The client can scale down. Disabling background animation and other fx. Also running in in fullscreen improves quality.
This project was about using synergy : ) Seems i am to optimistic and there is not much synergy possible between camps...
As noted before: The Server API is documented and if someone likes he could do a own client accessing the same library.
In a few days you can try it from www.a-mc.biz/igo I have a SAM@733 will do a cam video.
Hi, if at least 50 persons are interested i would make AEROS for SAM(PPC) as well. I own a SAM440, so i may need help for SAM460 iso and X1000 by others.
