@cygnusEd
Maybe the speed will be a point that maybe will be possible to be improved, with the help of the amiga AmiCygnix users base or help from others programmers ???
If the speed is like the 060 speed with a classic amiga, It's maybe enough....

@all
Amiblitz can compile 68k programs who work on old amigas untill last one and morphOS (with the help of the thilo kohler libraries who complete replace old blitz2 libraries).
You can make a game who work on a window with CGX and P96 on all amigas with amiblitz3.
Amiblitz3 work on classic amigas and on new amigas NG and pegasos machines.

@Slayer Too bad that some new amigadevelopers, who just have their SAM, can't access to this SDK, for starting programming for the Amiga

@cygnusEd My wish is a software like MSNmessenger, because chatting with webcams enabled Or Pigdin with an additionnal software to connect two persons, who chat with pigdin, with a webcam (for seing when chatting). BTW, I don't know if webcams software for connected peoples exist on LInux. I could say lots of mistake about amicygnix and linux because lack of knowledge about Linux....

I don't know gnome meeting, but the chat software "Pidgin" is in development. Will have a look at what gnome meeting requires and what it is able to do.
If Pidgin support chat with USB webcams with a SAM, thats will be enough and verry great, for me will search soon what look like pidgin.... Have seen some pigdin screenshots and apparently this program don't support chatting also with webcams (but not sure, just see screenshots).

BTW, I know nothing about Amicygnix and maybe not CHAT program inside.... Sorry to have no knowledge on this domain actually

I known that USB for AmigaNG is slow but don't know before reading this thread that also could destroy the USB datas and need to reformat !!!! Thats verry dangerous. I have 3 USB HDs on the classic with mediator and poseidon and will be verry angry to lost datas when using them on a new amiga NG Hardware !!!!. IMHO, this information must be spreaded a lot for others NG users... The problem arrive with FAT95 and/or also with Amiga filesystems (SFS) ??? -This thread is a link with AOS developpers in case of problems and/or reports ??? -Where officially reports problems to AOS developpers or help them ???? @Faranheit examples on my previous post are just examples Maybe something on PCI will be interesting to add with SAM and SAM-flex boards and for this case, a case who fit PCI cards will be usefull BTW, 2 cms more vertically for combo DVD-CD 5 1/4 is important also for reducing final prize for amiga users allways short of money

@TheDaddy
the red one dimensions are OK but miss maybe 2 centimeters vertically for a PCI card direclty.
Maybe the 2 centimeters missing allow at the same time the use of a standard 5 1/4 combo DVD-CD.
The PCI slot use is IMHO, verry verry important (futur use for wifi, another PCI graphic card from hans drivers,...) who know what amiga users with use on the PCI slots.
Same also for a standard 5 1/4 combo DVD-CD.

@TheDaddy
IMHO, small like the red one, from relec, but little higher (for the PCI card) and at the same time a standard 5 1/4 combo DVD-CD.
Maybe merged design to have one design if SAM-flex also. all of course IMHO.

@all I have received some new about James Daniels yesterday, thanks to him Firt of all, from a previous mail with James: (me as >) > BTW, will you release the amiga classic version for free or port it to amigaOS > 4.1 PPC ??? see: http://www.acube-systems.biz/eng/index.phpMy Amiga's pretty much defunct now and I don't want to release the source just yet as that would devalue the newer versions of the game. I may release it at some point though. And the answer I have received yesterday :-| (me as >) > Please, think enough about this request and maybe make something to fix > Payback for PPC amiga . Make your statement here and I will transmit the > whole answer on amigans or better subscribe yourself to amigans if you > accept to do the fix (after analysing AmiDevCpp or using WinUAE on your PC > near you) for a great surprise for the amiga community during this Xmas > time. Sorry, you've obviously spent a lot of time looking into this, but I don't have time to work on it right now. Maybe in a few months. Apologies, James. Now you know all untill now. James not refuse but maybe he will make someting in a few months. I hope AmiDevCpp is good for him and will help James to fix the grim reaper, maybe add sound of warp version. We must now hope James will be made something fo the amiga community Thanks to James in advance....

@LiveForIt Just would like to say that I have just made and send a 1.5 hour mail in english for James about Payback PPC problems or AOS4.x PPC amigas. I have given explanations about problems with PPC version and invite him to read thread here, talking about amidevccp (surely interesting for PC user) and others stuff. Now the hope is to see an answer from him. - He could not answer or just said sorry - Promise to look just amidevCCP or install winUAE or just try to found his old amiga sources. - Maybe will try to do something but no fre time. Better - Ask help and need betatesters with PAYBACK on AOS4 and would like to pass some hour for fixing Payback for PPC aos4x amiga. In case he will subscribe here and answer direclty, give to him a good first message reaction now crossed our fingers Sorry for the double post but not sure I have given the 2 thread link on the message I have sending to him, sorry

edit: I started a new thread on this topic, asking for posts to be made here, but some people have replied there instead: Interest for Payback on OS4?
Thanks for all. I will resume request to Payback author and send him a mail next week end with links here. Maybe he will do nothing or maybe more. We must finger crossed Recompiling with audio for PPC will be great and the 2 grim reaper also. If he would like to help Payback for the amiga, hope this 2 problems will not cost him too much free free time...

@ChrisH It's sure he actually made a Iphone version of Payback . I'm waiting a little about another peoples who would like to make a comment about the version of Payback (68k or PPC) on AOS4.1 with SAM or AONE. I will transmit the result to James (if necessary) and will try to ask him about an install of an amiga environment on a PC near him, for fixing Payback (if necessary again). After he will made or not the fix, that will be his choice (for the good old days maybe

Payback68k and PaybackWOS works in software rendering mode with AOS4.1 smoothly if you rename the audio- and video-file in the video-drawer of payback. Afterwards, payback doesn't try to playback the video but simply skips it.
So Payback is my first WOS-Games, that works on SAM with warposemu-lib Great! Cannot say anything about music because i had not switched on my stero for testing. But at least it works! (turning Gouraud shading throws a GrimReaper, but it can be ignored. Afterwards, the game is even faster).
nexus
I'm in touch with the Payback authors actually (for his Iphone version). If you have problems with payback on AOS4.1 with SAM or AONE, I will transmit the problems. Thats not mean at all james daniels will make something (no more amiga working) but who knows (for the good old days maybe).
