Re: YouTube with Odyssey V1.23 r5 Beta07
Quite a regular
Quite a regular

There are a lot of spoffing, unfortunately I can't use acceleration because I use winuae and I can't test for this.
I currently use this user-agent (blackberry):
Mozilla/5.0 (BB10; Touch) AppleWebKit/537.10+ (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/10.1.0.2342 Mobile Safari/537.10+

This should work for yt and other gmail sites etc. to upload videos etc. as well as working without opening new links
I hope it is useful.

@K-L
@All
I have tried Odyssey (OS4.1FE) beta 07
If I close the Odyssey window when I watch a video on youtube and leave the requester open, the Emotion player works perfectly.
But if I completely exit Odyssey the Emotion player crashes
I hope it will be useful in some way, Thanks again for the work dedicated to Odyssey.

I leave the video if it can be useful:

Hi kas1e,
I'm using beta 07 works perfectly, thanks again.
Even on winuae use, today I realized that the old version 1.23 and the beta version 03 work perfectly after closing the browser and using emotion-player to watch the videos.
While with the subsequent beta versions 04-07 emotion-player crashes after closing Odyssey.
It is important that I tell you that the version I use of emotion without hardware acceleration
I am equally happy with the great job after a long time.
I wondered if it was possible to solve this problem in some way, perhaps even by replacing, for example, the libraries.
Mickjt-player is not affected by this problem with all versions of Odyssey.
Up to now I thought the problem was winuae.
Thanks for every possible answer and for any help, and thanks again.

Thanks for the new beta 07, and your great work.
Thanks also for the "spoffing" function, this helps a lot to try many user-agents

Re: MUI and Odyssey colors are not saved

Hi 328gts,
as I said I solved with MUI, as for the NG PPC machines for amigaos, I don't even have any more classic amiga.
So besides using winuae I can't do anything else.
But I noticed, that this option makes the 4.1FE Classic system unstable:

; BEGIN MUI ASL
if exists "Amiga: MUI"
run <> nil: MUI: PatchASL
endif
; END MUI ASL

even if it is very beautiful aesthetically
I am referring to the latest build of MUI
I don't know if this also happens for you on 4.1FE?

Re: Reset Device Audio AHI sb128

@LiveForIt
Solved the problem, I had to make some changes in winuae.
And oddly once I configured the E-UAE file I had to set the write protect flag.
Probably I was wrong, but every time the file was overwritten adding an additional partition also of 4.1
protecting it from writing now everything works perfectly E-UAE, Odyssey, ffplay etc. without crash
I don't understand why if I don't protect it from writing every time it also adds the 4.1FE partition.
However now it works.
here the video, if it can be useful
Thanks again for the advice.

@LiveForIt
Hi,
Thanks for the reply,
The error occurs only and always after using other programs is later E-UAE.
If I start E-UAE first, this never happens.
Only when I start E-UAE as a second program does this happen.
Do I have a crash log, can I post it or is it better to attach it to a link?
It is probably something to fix in winuae eventually
Thank you very much

Reset Device Audio AHI sb128

Quite a regular

Hi,
There is a shell command or something similar
to "restart the AHI device" after using an application.
I give an example:
Many times when I use Odyssey and then I exit the program and use immediately after E-UAE the system crashes "DSI"

I tried to use:
KeepAHIOpen, but it doesn't seem to work, it's probably not useful for my purpose.
Is there anything that resets the audio or associated processes without resetting the amiga system?
It is probably due to the winuae emulator.
Thanks for any help.

Hi kas1e,
Thanks for the latest beta and your work.
And the latest spoffing added
I don't really know the Odyssey story, having no hardware for amigaos4.1FE and before you started the new work on the new versions it was slow to be used with winUAE.
Now he works very well.

I took a look at the Cygwin guide for how to compile the sources for amigaos-ppc, I used it a long time ago for other things.

Are the current sources in the public domain and freely editable?
Thanks again for a possible reply.

Fixed, sorry again for my questions
I thought I was doing something wrong in the settings, only a few don't work.
For the rest, everything works.

Thanks @pvanni for the information and your advice.

I read the readme, but I didn't understand how to do it.
here is a list of radios with their protocols
http://www.radioitaliastreaming.it/
can I add them to TuneNET?
how can I do?

even a small example is enough and which file to configure.
Thank you.

Hi,
Thank you very much infinitely,
I will try as you told me to do.
And thank you for your interest and your answer.

@kas1e
I know it can be boring, but my English isn't perfect.
here I put a video without the use of a video capture program
And that's why I'm happy with these new updates of Odyssey, I used a mobile phone at least you see the real speed of Odyssey with Youtube.

Re: Odyssey 1.23 progress

I did a new test with Odyssey 05 "full screen" using MUI
and I'm very happy,
I used the spoffing listed above:
"Mozilla / 5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 12_4 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit / 605.1.15 (KHTML, like Gecko) Mobile / 15E148 KAKAOTALK 8.7.8"
I don't have a graphics card but it works very well.
I'd just like to ask:
how do I move the screen that I promote via MUI options.

In practice the screen of MUI remains fixed, instead I would like to have the possibility to move it like any window.

I have done many tests but I cannot do it.
Thanks and sorry if my question is "OT"
Thanks again to everyone.
here the video if it can be useful to better explain my request

Re: MUI and Odyssey colors are not saved

I apologize for the questions about MUI, but this type of desktop management is new to me.
Just experiment, now I understand how it works.
I have yet to complete the work, but now I understand the mechanism and management of MUI screens.
In this case Odyssey works very well, at least for my use.
Thanks again, but this forum is the only point of reference if I have any questions about 4.1FE.
The rest is just emulation, but I'm very happy with it.
The only way to use 4.1 for me is how it was done a long time ago with amiga 3.xx classic
I have to patch the system to make it work well.
So I hope you understand my amiga spirit towards 4.1FE and how it used to be for the classic workbench

And even if it's just emulation, I have fun with it.
I also buy the software for 4.1FE, but at the moment I can't take a real machine.
Thanks again to everyone.

I add another short video
where Odyssey works simultaneously with multiple open tabs using MUI and other video stuff, downloads etc.
Where could I find a guide on how to use MUI?
Thanks for any valuable suggestions.

MUI and Odyssey colors are not saved

Quite a regular

Hi,
I had already asked for help, for configuring MUI with Odyssey
I have found a good compromise for using MUI.
But I can't understand some passages.
1) I choose the Odyssey screen for personalized use
2) Imposed saving the screen colors and everything works.

But only in the same work session.

When I restart the system I have to set up MUI again
while all the other options remain stored.
Only the colors are wrong with each restart.

Am I wrong some steps?

Thanks for any help.

I leave the video to be more precise

Re: Odyssey 1.23 progress

Hi kas1e,
Thank you for answering me
and explaining many things to me
I have been fond of amiga since I was a boy
as I said I am aware of the limits of winuae, me is the only way to use Amiga for me.
I made many changes to make it pleasant to use.

I did a lot of tests before asking you for spoffing if it can possibly be included in the next version of Odyssey.

This is what works very well and is also compatible with external links that refer to youtube and also with the main youtube page.

user-agent:
"Mozilla / 5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 12_4 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit / 605.1.15 (KHTML, like Gecko) Mobile / 15E148 KAKAOTALK 8.7.8"

turns out to be the fastest and also a lot, and compatible with everything else.
Much better than "Android 7" or above.

Thanks again if you decide to include it, I really appreciate the work and time you are dedicating to this project.

I leave you a short video
i just installed the software enhancers i still have to configure everything especially the audio.
Keep in mind that the real speed is also limited by the software video capture program.
Thanks again, as soon as I have the opportunity I will make you a small donation for your work.
Why these projects must be supported.
They take time and work on your part.

@kas1e
@All

I leave you a short video, sorry for the video,
but many times they are easier to better explain ideas.
I don't know Odyssey well and I have to work on it even if it's a simple browser I hope the steps are right to explain what I mean.

Thank you.
https://youtu.be/QN3q_H_tLYk

separate note:
I must specify that adding the line directly in the user-startup the browser slows down a lot.
While if I use spoffing directly in Odyssey preferences this does not happen.
