A "BLITZ" in the Amiga software land? We hope so.
The Team have contacted our "close relatives" of the BlitzBasic, Blitmax, and Blitz3D.
They gave us nice and important informations on how to port compatible blitz interpreters to Amiga:
"Hi,
There are open-source versions of Blitz3D available which run on different platforms. MiniB3D is for BlitzMax, and runs on Windows, Mac and Linux. iMiniB3D is C++ based and runs on iOS. There is also OpenB3D which is like iMiniB3D but without the bindings to iOS, which would probably be your best bet for porting to the Amiga."
The developer of OpenB3D has been already contacted, a very kind person that will help us to explore the OpenB3D implementations.
Thank you to Blitz guys for the precious help.

Donations could be made directly to the author of the port and to the owner of the source.

@thread It's a pleasure to inform Amigans that Cloanto agreed to share one of his Amiga software MasterPiece, Cloanto Personal Paint, with the Porting Team: Thank you to Michele Battilana and Cloanto. Andrea Afxgroup already ported the majority of code/libraries to Amiga OS4.x PPC. A little work remain to be done yet to complete the port. P.S. I just now now discovered that Andread Afxgroup can even write "ciao da acube" P.P.S I can assure you will get goose bumps using again Cloanto Personal Paint! Ah, memories!!!

Hello everyone, just want to inform that we are looking for capable programmers to form a "software porting team", to port as much software possibile to Amiga OS. During the past years i contacted several ex-amigans (with the help of the tireless Amitv), which have become over time great developers producing great software (mainly games). For this reason, i collected various source code of game and software (with the authors permission) that can be ported to AmigaOS, Aros and MOS too. One of this software was "Equilibrio", came to us thanks to afx and ACube (and DK-Games, of course). There are other software and games (even famous name). To port all these software, of course, programmers are needed. Andrea afxgroup can't do all the job alone (altough he's a monster porter or the lord of the port :P). I think that a team of 5 or six programmers should suffice These programmers should also sign (where required) an NDA to protect the authors of the source code. So, what you think about this? Well,
what we can really figure out, is that you need a 460 too :)
Maybe a bounty setup for chris?
Being serious, you was really fast to test the new feature provided by Acube. I'm impressed.
Well done dude.

I have same problems here. I though that was my fault, but icons sorting/viewing behaviour seems to not work for me. Often the icons doesn't keep their position.
Another strange behaviour i noticed is that when i'm going to select the icon on a window, if the mouse pointer go out of this window, still select other icons on workbench and on other opened windows. Is this normal?

That's really strange. I played a bit yesterday nad had no crash. Seems more stable. Maybe something to do with the last intuition and workbench update we had?

Hello,
haven't used TimberWolf for a while. I used to apply all updates since the nice new update systems took place. Today i launched TimberWolf and, with my surprice, i noticed that Timberwolf is more reactive and a bit more faster... and having no freeze till now. Anyone else experienced such beahviour or it's just a trick of my mind?
Just curious if any update is responsible of this improvements. Considering i have the good and humble 440 ep, other user that have more ram and more Mhz should have now a very good browsing experience on Amiga.

I'm happy you feel better.
Someone mentioned Cairo library in a previous post. I would like to have new version too, with fast path and other optimization, maybe hw accelerated. I started coding a little program that uses Cairo just to exercize, but soon i give up due to poor Cairo performance.
Thank you very much
