@Alfkill

Hello,

how you managed to do accelerated blitblt with transparent areas? Do you used cliprect or other composite tags function?

I have problem blitting to a temporary bitmap ( i get some graphic glitches) and the image is not clipped.

@tlosm

just played with picasso and created a screen and monitor settings ;)

The real problem is that no game starts your settings :(

Now, since i've just copied some things, maybe i've messed up the config file.

Could you please, send me your config file?

Check your pm, please :)

@AmigaBlitter

"You need to make a 320x256 with Picasso96 settings in prefs"

Don't know how to do: there's a guide for this?

"Copy this in run-inuae"

Copy this where? You mean the uaerc config file?

thank you

@tlosm

I have a Sam@667 with integrated Radeon.
Yes, i running through runInUae.

I simply copied the new jit executable into the directory where previously normal uae (used by runInUae) reside.

This new version, lack of the ctrl+ alt + s key combitation to choose some kind of screen.

@tlosm

How can i run UAE in specific resolution?

My screen is 1600x1050, and uae is so small.

There's a way to choose a 640x480 windowed or full screen?

Thank you

Could someone explain how to install and test?

Should i install on a separate folder? If i install this JIT version, the installation could change something in the integrated emulation of OS4/Run in UAE?

It's also reported that cyrus will have an improved Xena.
As soon as Xena will be used in some way, this would be for someone one of the point of choise.

@ChrisH
already contacted almost one year ago.
There are other project that could be very interesting

In theory, x1000 with Timberworlf could already try if it works, cause an xpi extension already exist (http://mozilla.github.io/shumway/extension/firefox/shumway.xpi).

@

"There are no plans to make AmigaOS less responsive or slow it down."

Hehe.

glad to hear you say this.

What "technically" in a protected memory architecture could slowdown responsiveness?

Just curious. Maybe the check if a certain memory area is already in use? Searching for a free area?

Amiga OS 4.2x? "responsiveness" and protected memory

Hello everyone,

i read an interesting discussion on Amiganews.it (http://amiga.ikirsector.it/forum/viewtopic.php?f=37&t=17634) about an eventual memory protection implementation in future AmigaOS releases. The question is: will such implementation causes a general slowdown in AmigaOS reactivity or responsiveness?

Things came to a halt at the moment. Some programmers who initially joined the team withdrew for various reasons (new job,personal problem and so on...). Still collecting projects, tho, and trying to move forwards some projects.
Last source that we have obtained permissions to get back on the Amiga is "Distant Sun"(http://www.distantsuns.com/). But again, things get stalled.

It's very hard today to get "organized" and to find people with the necessary amount of time to realize "portings".

Sorry for this.

Doesn't work for me.

I get the following error (pressing ignore DSI errors):

unable to resolve symbol 'lwc_intern_caseless_string'
failed to resolve symbol at runtime.
Process 'NetSurf' has been suspended.

More nice words from ecore-games:

"I would like to encourage all Amiga-developers to creating original games,
designed by Amigans, on Amiga computers, for Amigans. We have a lot of
ports of opensource games. Most of these games are very good. However I
remember time when Amiga had a lot of exclusive games which weren't
available on another platforms. I miss to the time. :)
Currently we have great ami-systems, machines, software development
environment, the Internet (helping, documentations). Our heads are full of
great ideas. We should realize the ideas and making new original games. Now
is time for indie-games. I would like to see new original indie-games on
AmigaOS4/MorphOS/AROS too. Amiga community have great programmers.
Unfortunately we have problem with artists (graphics 2D, graphics 3D,
music) because 99% of these moved to another platforms. I understand the
decision (our tools for creating gfx/msx are obsolete). However sometimes
is good solution. For example look at Minecraft. :) Great idea, simple
design and VERY BIG success.

I greet all Amigers and I am glad that the Amiga is alive and growing."
