By Chris de Burgh Album: "Into The Light" - 1986 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I've never seen you looking so lovely as you did tonight, I've never seen you shine so bright, I've never seen so many men ask you if you wanted to dance, They're looking for a little romance, given half a chance, And I have never seen that dress you're wearing, Or the highlights in your hair that catch your eyes, I have been blind;
The lady in red is dancing with me, cheek to cheek, There's nobody here, it's just you and me, It's where I want to be, But I hardly know this beauty by my side, I'll never forget the way you look tonight;
I've never seen you looking so gorgeous as you did tonight, I've never seen you shine so bright, you were amazing, I've never seen so many people want to be there by your side, And when you turned to me and smiled, it took my breath away, And I have never had such a feeling, Such a feeling of complete and utter love, as I do tonight;
The lady in red is dancing with me, cheek to cheek, There's nobody here, it's just you and me, It's where I want to be, But I hardly know this beauty by my side, I'll never forget the way you look tonight;
I never will forget the way you look tonight... The lady in red, the lady in red, The lady in red, my lady in red,
I love you...

As i understand it, as soon as OGR25 is finished, the client will automatically switch to OGR32/whatever?

@Rogue et al Thanks for all the insights and techie background info This "virtual environment" caught my eye, though. Mind if i pesker you with a question? Programs running in this environment are meant to be "old" programs (like a todays build of ScummVM), written for the "not-memory-protected-kernel", aren?t they? They?d still run, but "inside" this environment (which isn?t meant to be "bad" or "slower", isn?t it?). For devs and porters (like me ... maybe ... one day) does that mean a matter of rewriting the whole thing (devs) or simply rebuilding under the, then used, SDK (ports)? Keep going, Rogue

@Swoop There is a huge amount of radio stations out there that broadcast with 96kbs, hve you tried one of these? I'll suspect the MP3's are broken, came about some of these while my harvesting on the net, too They seem to have some special encoded information which you can read only on "Dollar Bill" machines. Heck i even stumbled over an MP3 which has a virus on board. Did these files play with earlier versions of TuneNet? iirc multiview play through a datatype, TN through it's own implementation of libmpeg!?

@GrumpyOldMan
Please, could you update us on the topic, i just of today tired to plug in a Two-USB-port (case sheet metal thingie) to my XE and found the same problem you were facing.
. . . . . . . . . x
That is the connector that came with the slot where the x marks a dead spot (that is, there is no hole there) and the pin hole beneath the x is blind (that is no wiring there)
Now...
. . . . x . . . . .
that is my XE USB connector. It's mirrored and i can't plug the adapter in.
Did it work for you? By simply burning a hole in the connector with a needle?
Thanks in advance

@klesterjr Sorry, misunderstand it then, i thought your sentence Quote: Since it happens on both my setup & AmiKit's, perhaps it's only an issue with UAE/Amithlon?
meant youre on a "emulated" system. My fault ...and no, i'm not trying to force a "real Amiga" flamewar Hmm, not sure what it could be then, although i might add, get rid of all the patches you have and retry edit: Got it wrong again? You are on AmigaOS3.9 using (Win)UAE? Right?

@klesterjr Well, have you tried using the AWeb plugins for picture display? @klesterjr Quote: I haven't really used Aweb for years because it was too unstable for me -- some websites would consistently crash the system (including THIS site!)
Are we talking OS3 or OS4 version? AWeb is stable as a rock since 3.5.08 both with OS4 and OS3 (although i don't test that version much, too much fun with OS4) You shouldn't be forced to add a "patch" just to get AWeb to run. Have you shared your crash logs with Andy? Have you asked on the AWeb ml for help?

@salass00 Heh, i was close to the solution Maybe the fixing tool isn't needed at all? Quote from an eMail @evilrich wrote on the E-UAE ml on Thu, 26 Jul 2007 02:02:13 -0400 Quote: New source code snapshot: http://www.rcdrummond.net/uae/test/20070726/
This adds a new tool called make_hdf which can be used from the command-line to create a blank hard-disk image (it also prints out appropriate config options which can be appended to or cut-n-pasted into a config file).
Here's an example session:
evilrich@anaximander:~/work/e-uae/uae/build_i386_x11$ ./src/make_hdf make_hdf <path> <size> [<device>]
<path> = file path to hdf image to create <size> = size of image to create in MB follow <size> by G to specify size in GB <device> = device name to include in config option defaults to DH0 if omitted evilrich@anaximander:~/work/e-uae/uae/build_i386_x11$ ./src/make_hdf ~/work/test.hdf 4GB hardfile2=rw,DH0:/home/evilrich/work/test.hdf,32,5,2,512,0, hardfile=rw,32,5,2,512,/home/evilrich/work/test.hdf evilrich@anaximander:~/work/e-uae/uae/build_i386_x11$
You get the idea. Hopefully this will stave off some of the "How do I create a hard file" questions, and it'll mean users don't have to muck around with figuring out geometries too much. Plus on Linux it'll create sparse files - which is nice and really quick. Feedback welcome, but don't get too excited; I want to keep this simple for right now.

@salass00
Well and if you try it with the partition data given after the format?
(SectorSize=512) Surfaces=1 (SectorsPerBlock=1) (SectorsPerTrack=1) Reserved=2 LowCyl=0 HighCyl=124999 (BootPri=0) DosType=0x444F530
The HighCyl is interesting here, maybe the Makefile generator has a bug?

Just a shot in the dark, got this from the UAE homepage.
Unit = 0 Flags = 0 Surfaces = 1 BlocksPerTrack = 32 Reserved = 1 Interleave = 0 LowCyl = 0 HighCyl = 3905 Buffers = 5 DosType = 0x444F5300 BufMemType = 1
I'd love to see hdf support in diskimage.device, keep on

If you haven't changed anything on your OS setup and/or MPlayer settings then it's strange that it wouldn't work.
Can't be much of help here, no overlay for Radeon9800 (yet)

He will only send to Germany or to one that picks it up directly.
He also says that "fun-bidders", will be bitten by his lawyer (30% of the winning price has to be paid by them, then)
He doesn't say much about the rims themself, just the technical stuff that is printed in the bold text on top, the rest is his cell number and his address where they can be picked up (if not sent)
Not much info there, i'll leave him if i were you. Also the fact that you'd have to pick them up directly, would scare me away
If you need some more info, let me know
